The Boss (The Boss, #1)

It's both easy and difficult to compare this book to "Fifty (or is it 50?) Shades of Grey". Easy because the storyline is similar, but difficult because "The Boss" is what FSOG should have been if it was:
-written by a talented writer
-based in common sense and logic, representative of a real D/s relationship
-not glorifying abuse as romance
-completely devoid of any oh my/jeez/inner goddess/subconscious/earth shattering orgasms every.single.time.
Also, "The Boss" has plot that moves and side stories that go places and aren't arbitrary bits of failed "drama". Oh, and the sex is better. MUCH, much better. Not that that's hard (forgive the pun) because once you've read one FSOG sex scene, you've read them all. The sex scenes in "The Boss"? Um, have a change of underwear on hand (or go commando, that's cool, too; sit on a towel).
Bottom line: It's a great read, and will not only satisfy the part of you reading it for its eroticism, but will also make you genuinely laugh. And even gasp once or twice (I did).
I gave it 4 stars for the too-similar plot to FSOG and the slightly predictable ending, but none of that really detracts from the fact that it is a GREAT book that you SHOULD absolutely read.
