Jesse Custer is a preacher that lives in Texas. One day while Jesse was preaching a sermon a nuclear bomb came and killed all the church except Jesse. Jesse when he finally came to he had a strange ability to command anyone to do anything.

I do not like how the series ended, but I did enjoy the storyline up to that point. I love the characters and I can't waitto read volume 2.
