** spoiler alert ** Started of really strong and interesting but after the flashforward a few years it was all downhill. I mean if it was technology that caused the animal insanity why did it occur in the least tech advanced area of the world first (Africa) out in the Delta?? huh? no sense. and why did it only impact the chimp in NYC but too three years to impact other animals in NYC? Too many holes in the plot but was a nice retelling of the dangers of technology to humanity narrative that gets told in these apocalypse type books.. 4 stars for the first half and 1 star for the second half... 3 stars overall.
