I can't believe I've got this far in my life without reading Atwood. I may not have had the appreciation for her writing before, though.
She chooses her words very carefully, and with very few of them creates such depth.
Much like the characters in this story, as they communicate with each other, there is much said in a nod, a look.
Overall, this tale was sad at every turn, but the telling of it was a joy.
