Read 2 times. Last read September 10, 2015 to September 17, 2015.

Excellent rendering by reader Stanley Tucci. I have seen the movies and this was a re-read for me.

Drifter meets a good looking waitress at a roadside cafe. Finds a way to stay around. Turns out good looking as an older husband who owns the cafe. Trouble takes off from there.

Cain is excellent at his best and this is one of his best. He did one, Rainbow's End, based on the D. B. Cooper story that I had trouble getting into. And I am not too sure about The Cocktail Waitress but I am still working on that one.
