Read 2 times. Last read December 3, 2015 to December 6, 2015.
This was an entertaining and interesting story revolving around Jimmy/Snowman, and what happened when "powerful corporations took mankind on an uncontrolled genetic engineering ride". At times funny, at times freakish, often making you see the crazy outcome of things if we continue down our path of genetically altering our food, our surroundings, ourselves.
Cross breeding animals for specific traits and purposes, altering our food animals to please consumers and animal rights activists alike, marketing pills and potions for human enjoyment. The side effects and repercussions all setting the stage for the end of humankind.
At times the writing put me in mind of Chuck Palahnuik, deep but "out there". I can see where this style is not for everyone.
I'll probably read the next in the series, not because the characters were so intriguing, because disappointingly they're not, but because the world they were set in was so much fun to read about.
