Not gonna lie, I flipped through this because the cover is just amaze-balls. What do you even call this sexual maneuver? Stomach-job? Just-under-the-boobs-job?

Lindsey is clearly not very familiar with the French language or the late 1800s, as "Sharisse" is neither French (they don't use "sh") or Victorian. (Why yes, I checked census records; why do you ask?) You could maybe argue for "Charisse" but it sounds mega-1970s.

Anyway, pretty boring. Ridiculous plot twists that are pretty obvious. Sex scenes minimal (cover notwithstanding). Heavy use of the "poor man batters and berates rich woman who's forced to marry him and thus, she learns to quit complainaing" trope. [TV Tropes calls this "Break the Haughty" - that is shorter but not specifically with the weird sex!]
