I love this book. The abysmal movie that was made of it was a travesty, because this book...I relate to the crazy family part, that's all I'm saying about it :)

Chris Meichtry You know, I think the movie really wasn't too bad. It was rather entertaining and quirky. The problem is that it is very much unlike the book. If the book had never been written, the movie would be great. However, unfortunately for the movie, the book WAS written and it is far superior.

Craig Williams Which crazy family part? The part where the father thinks God is communicating to him via poo? Haha, j/k - I just finished this book, and while some parts were... interesting... overall, I couldn't shake the feeling that Burroughs embellished the hell out of this.

Craig Williams Update: Just watched the movie, and you are absolutely correct - it is a travesty. They changed so much of it... Natalie is supposed to be kind of fat, right? Plus, the stuff with Bookman threatening to kill Dr. Finch - I don't remember that happening, though I could be mistaken. The whole thing is just a mess.
