Gwyn Verde has been dating Peter Payne for awhile and she is always left wanting. He doesn’t do romance and would rather hang out with his buddies watching sports. Gwyn is at the end of her rope, she just can’t get through to him and going to a costume party with him is the last thing she wants to do.
Dominic is tired of the women, he wants to find the “one” and settle down. He wants someone that doesn’t just want his money, they want him too. He has a feeling that his costume party will bring her to him. Little did he know that Tinkerbell would fall right into Captain Hook’s trap?
Gwyn is a strong female, able to take care of herself but she still wants romance from her man. She doesn’t trust her relationship with Peter so she holds back her dreams and fantasies, until she meets Dominic. Throughout the book Gwen grows more confident in her sexuality and can’t think of a better person than Dominic to share her experiences with.
Dominic is a sexy, smart businessman but he hasn’t always been. He has worked hard to get where he is and now he wants someone to share it with him. Fantasies are his specialty and now he is getting to share his knowledge and skills and help Gwyn experience her own fantasies. He can’t believe how receptive she is to the dominance play, making his own dreams come true.
Overall I enjoyed this story. I didn’t like Peter’s character but I don’t really think you were supposed to. If I was Dominic and Gwyn, I’d be worried about what he will try next because I don’t trust him to just go away. Gwyn and Dominic are both fun characters that fit well with one another. At first you have to wonder why a very rich man would fall for a “normal” person but when you find out his story, it all makes sense.
The role play with costumes and the dominance scenes were very HOT. I enjoyed them very much. I think I liked the Al Capone scenes the best. What they did with pearls makes me want to get my own set and try them out, very kinky.
Overall I enjoyed the book and can’t wait to read the second story in the series. I give Hook, Wine & Tinker 3½ Flaming Hearts.
