2.5 I really didn’t like Josie stars

Sigh. I really like this series because it makes me happy. It’s easy reading and it’s “different”. I find all books different and I was curious about Josie’s story. I really like the tension we got in the previous book so I was REALLY looking forward to this one.

I didn’t event take a reading book break, I instantly jumped from the previous book to this one.

BUT gah. … I wanted to SLAP Josie in her STUPID FACE.

I hated her. She was so annoying, so MEAN, REALLY selfish and I didn’t understand her character at all.

She told the guy SHE HATED HIM!? For what? For being a broody male? Umm.. okay. So he’s not the nicest guy, but he hasn’t done ANTYHING get your anger.

This one was a roller coaster of emotions or Josie giving me whip lash. Does she like him? Does she not like him? She then tries to have sex JUST to have a baby, but she can’t do it because she has to be in love.

It’s kind of like she’s in a fixed up marriage and she REALLY doesn’t like her suitor, but instead of just being grateful and TRYING to like the guy, she calls him names, pushes him around and (view spoiler)

I was highly disappointed in this one and the only redeeming quality is the last part. I really enjoyed the ending, esp. (view spoiler)

I still love this series and I’m happy it didn’t just end with Josie. I can’t wait for the next… okay I can. I’m going to take a mini book break and then I’ll jump back into this series.

message 3: by Lana (new) - rated it 1 star

Lana Crotty I agree soooooo much! Josie was such a BITCH. Too bad she didn't become bird shit

Tina I'm about 60% in and hate her and I also hate how everyone sympathizes with her. I kept expecting someone to pull her aside and tell her to give the guy a chance. Or to maybe explain how he was humiliated by his last mate. But they all practically ignored them so engrossed in their own happiness. I especially hated her when she wanted the cootie removed rather than mate with him. She saw his visceral reaction and was still like "I don't care" She was very selfish. I'm not even done with this book and I have strong feelings. LOL

Just One More 4:44am Right, I just started this one. I was so excited. Then Josie, the ray of sunshine, was miserable. I'm surprised no one has stepped in. They're acting like he is the worst person in the world. And the fact that Josie loves to talk and is bright and bubble but won't even try to talk things out doesn't make sense. It's like the author forgot we read all the books until now. For the girl who can get over anything to not even try is ridiculous.

Alondra I am so dissatisfied with the fact that after all the build up in this book, it was an utter failure. The fact that this book could have gotten so much better, but we got an even worse book than the one before it. This one will definitely be a dnf and it will probably be the last one I read of this series because of the rapid decline of the storylines from Kira’s book to Josie’s. To say the least, Josie was an absolute disgusting childish woman who could not bear to understand and empathize with Haeden even though they both just wanted the same things but couldn’t find a way to communicate. She was all talk about : “the past will not matter, it is past and the future is the only thing that matters and I will love my mate” in Tiffany’s book, just to be a bitter bitch the entire ending of book 5 and at the beginning of her story. I could not get past the fact that she would rather make him miserable a second time rather than be patient and try to reason with him. She was insufferable with every breath she took and I really hoped she could’ve died on her way back to the main cave on Tiffany’s book just so this one didn’t have to happen. To say the least I am deeply disappointed and wholly too sorry for the way this book is ending for me. Could really care less about the new humans on the end of this book by what I’ve read. If they’re not good enough for the first books to at least reference then I will not bother. The other human women were entirely too stupid and I hated each and every one of them that encouraged the fact that it was okay for her to act like that. Wished at least someone could’ve slapped her and made her understand the fact that she was selfish and a horrible person.

Sarah THANK YOU!! I have the exact same sentiment to this book as you did/do. I too was excited for her to be eaten by the bird, until he tried to off himself for the worst human on planet not-hoth. He deserves better.

Julieth Hernandez I'm reading the book and find her so annoying.
