And so it ended... but did it really? The last sentence left something to the imagination.

While I haven't left reviews for the first two books, I'm writing one for this because I really liked it. This isn't my first Samantha Young book, I have read "On Dublin Street" years ago and I'm happy to know that her writing style really has that "pull".

There were minor and common grammatical errors like "you're" written as "your" and vice versa, and a few others. The grammar police in me can't help but notice those things.

On to my review then. The young adult genre isn't something I read frequently, but it doesn't mean I don't like it. What I appreciated and found really refreshing was the heroine's strength.

Caia was thrust repeatedly towards the unexpected and this series is about her. Lucien and the pack where supporting characters, and that's one of the things I liked the most. To know your background, to be outcast, and to discover your untapped potential really takes a toll.

While there's a passing mention about love, I really didn't like Lucien. Sure there were scenes that made me feel like a schoolgirl, specially when Jaeden and Ryder finally mated, but I'd like to have read about them talking to each other, and getting to know each other more.

I also didn't like that Lucien didn't have 100% faith in Caia when told about what his ex had done. Sure it's shocking but instead of supporting and listening to his mate, whom, might I add was just recovering from energy expulsion, he defended the traitor. I may understand him if he hasn't already realized, or if Marion hadn't made him realize what Marita's end game was when Lucien and Rose were reacquainted.

Anyway, I'm all for Caia, she's kickass. Lucien was lucky to have her.
