I really liked this and am looking forward to getting to know Callie and Derek more. Their relationship and how it developed seemed very realistic to me and grounded them nicely, making them a strong team able to deal with the paranormal elements thrown their way. Callie finds her footing after being thrust into this world she doesn't want to be in. As it should, it takes her a while to come to grips with her new circumstances, but it looks like she's ready to start making some strong stands in the next book. Book one has a complete story arc, but there's definitely more to come!
