This book was a mouthpiece for the extremely millenial ideals of the author. I found this book tremendously boring to read because of the repetitive plot, and almost put it down several times. The characters had no real distinguishing characteristics (other than sexual preferences). The plot was largely "group of rebels go to new location, are attacked by The Man, walk away to a new place." There were a few interesting paragraphs that I flagged, but overall, if an author wants their book to be a mouthpiece of their philosophy on life, they should have a more interesting philosophy.
