I liked this one better than the first book in this series, "White Heather". The heroine, Augusta, is a very modern woman, though the book is set in 1818. She knows her own mind, doesn't hesitate to stand up to the annoying societal dictates, etc. Noah took a while to grow on me. While I liked him from Heather, I still thought his character was initially underdeveloped. But the story really came along, and I very much enjoyed it.
