I love the cover and the idea of the book but to me it fell a little flat. I was looking for a quick quirky funny read. The book is light but i wished it was more humorous but that’s me.

I felt like the book was 20-30% too long. The first half of the book dragged a bit for me and the second half picked up a little too quickly for me so the flow was definitely off for me.

I liked the dialogue parts of the book but the descriptive parts got me skimming a bit. It was too wordy and it didn’t need to be.

I couldn’t connect with the characters and I felt zero chemistry between Vicky and Henry.

I loved that the mom made the dog in charge of the company. I loved how selfless Vicky was but it really irritated me how awful Henry was to Vicky in the beginning. It killed me that Vicky didn’t give him more of a chase. It was so obvious he didn’t have good intentions.

I liked Vicky had a difficult past. That added something to the story.

It was just ok.
