really liked it

Freya Barker is one of those authors who has been on my to be read list for quite some time, and I recently read Keeping Six, so I was incredibly eager to re-enter the world of Rock Point with Cabin 12. I highly recommend this title if you are like me and love a romantic suspense, that is full of emotion and keeps you on the edge of your seat with twists and turns. There are several characters who crossover from Keeping Six, to Cabin 12 but you could easily read this title as a standalone.

Bella is the youngest Gomez sibling, we met her older brother Damien in Keeping Six. She’s works as a paramedic, and is strong, independent, and resilient, yet quite fragile and vulnerable at the same time. As much as she’s devoted to her family, they are quite meddlesome and can be a tad overbearing and controlling at times.

Jasper is an FBI agent, who works under the leadership of Bella’s older brother. He’s incredibly smart, sexy and protective, and oozes the whole brooding alpha vibe.

Enemies at first sight, this pair have a tendency to rub each other the wrong way, but appearances can be deceiving as a much as this pair antagonise each other, the more time they spend in each other’s company, more sparks fly. The chemistry they share is undeniable, and they have quite a bit in common, in particular the pasts they are both trying to out run.

Overall a well paced story with characters that are not only realistic, but relatable and I will be eagerly awaiting future additions to this series.
