it was ok

An Autumn in Paris was my first book by Alix Nichols. First of all, the blurb mentioned Aubrey Hepburn so naturally I was intrigued. That's all it takes for me so I thought I would give it a chance.

Honestly, I just felt bored with this story. There were short amounts of time that I got excited about the idea of Dana falling in love with a vet. I mean, who doesn't love a good looking vet. Puppies and handsome men are my kind of read. But even with that, I found myself wanting to skip over parts.

I think my biggest issue was some of the transitions. A couple of times I had to go back and re-read something because I felt like I missed something that would have helped transition into what was currently happening. I didn't miss anything, it just wasn't a smooth as I would have liked.

I hate writing reviews like this because I know how hard the author worked on this so all I can say is that not every book is for everyone. This one wasn't for me but that doesn't mean that you can't easily fall in love with it.
