5 STARS -Its impossible for me to give less to this amazing book-

3yrs ago Derrick "Bear" McKenna's mom left him for a boyfriend to god-knows where, leaving the 17yr old with his 6 yr old brother Tyson "The Kid", along the way and with the help of his friends he went through it, working long hours as a head cashier and managing just fine. He lives through the motions, his only goal, to make his brother's life and good as possible. All is fine in his carefully constructed world till one day Oliver "Otter" -Bear's best friend's brother- comes back, and his perfectly constructed world comes tumbling down...

First of all I NEED to say, dont let the book cover fool you, I have to admit, I was hesitant to read this because the cover was so freaking creepy and horrendous but i got over it pretty quickly as soon as the book started.
Second, the anticipation and dread in this book is level 100 just when the good part is coming Bear has a flashback and you're just left there thinking 'READ FASTER!'

Now onto the good stuff...

Bear is a fighter, he's stronger than he thinks he is, he's sweet and dedicated and so fucking good it warms your heart.

Otter is hot as hell gentle giant with a heart of freaking gold and a love so strong you just wanna climb into his lap and never get off. Of course lets not forget the crazy hot sex and playfulness in bed -i think that was my favorite moments for Otter and Bear- it was so incredibly sexy crazy hot but sweet at the same time i almost melted, who knows maybe i actually did and now im a puddle of Laura.

The Kid... Freaking adore him, best thing about this book! He's crazy smart, quirky, vegetarian, future ecoterrorist, PETA lover, sweet KID!

The whole book you're in a constant state between happiness, amusement, heartbreak, rage, sadness and any other emotion you can think about.

"Otter! Otter! Otter!
Don’t lead cows to slaughter!
I love you, and I know I should’ve told you soon-a
But you didn’t buy the dolphin-safe tuna!"

At nine thirty, the phone rang.
“Thanks for calling The Food Warehouse. This is Bear. How can I help you?” I said glumly, staring at the clock as a few more seconds clicked by.
“It sounds so hot when you say that,” a voice said huskily in my ear.
I grinned and rolled my eyes and for a moment, everything was fine. “You think that‟s hot? Maybe I should read off the produce order, and we can see where this goes.”
Otter chuckled. “Bring it home with you, and we‟ll talk."

GAHH Simply loved it - A MUST READ
