I think this book is for 5th-8th graders. It is about a girl and her family during the war. Her father was taken by the communist. They have to immigrate to America for their safety. I could use this in my classroom for book clubs, in which I have my students do literate circles. Something beneficial about this book is that it takes an accurate story of an immigrant and this could really resonate with some of my students.
