This book was a nice escape with both excellent writing and captivating characters. Bellon does a great job of showing Edward’s and Charlotte’s flaws and still keeping the story easy enough to read. I felt connected to them and their journey in overcoming their heartache. The book showed not only their love story but gave the right balance of British era details to keep me intrigued, but not overdone to have me distracted by said details. I especially loved Alice and Christian as supporting characters. I look forward to reading their story in the future.
