Ayn Rand was the most overrated writer (I can't even call her a philosopher) of the 20th century, and a great gaping asshole to boot. This book is yet another to support those facts.

Bryce Digdug Right on! You often see college students wandering around campus with her book. Wikipedia lists her as a pseudo-philospher. Willim F. Buckley probably takes her book with him under the covers. Well, we see where all this right-wing b.s. has lead us. A psychopathic desire for our president to conquer the world. Now he's like a lil' Napoleon, with the you-know-what Abba song playing in the background.

Beth SaltyMissJill, from SnarkyBeth

I loved your honest eval. The narcissitic writer speaks in the form of AR, (and pay no attention to the woman behind the curtain who lives one life while preaching another. Pseudo-philsopher, appropriate and earned).

Michelle Wonderful! I feel the same way. I slogged through Atlas Shrugged on the recommendation of a friend, and was so pissed off by the damn thing that I will never read anything else she vomited onto a page again.
