CHERCHONS : 2 x GARDES BRUTALS, 1 x PAGE INNOCENT
Do you have a good francophone voice, and can you imagine yourself as one of the brutal, vulgar guards who arrest the noble princess or as the innocent young page who accompanies the king? If so, you might want to voice one of the three remaining roles available in the virtual production of Antigone that we've been putting together using the open source LARA platform. In the table below, roles in red are not yet taken and the numbers show how many speeches the character has. As you can see, it's only a few lines and shouldn't take you more than half an hour. You will be credited on the book page when the play is finished!
The current draft is posted here (view in Chrome or Firefox). The text is done, and we've added the translations - hover over a pencil icon to get a translation of the preceding sentence, hover over a word to get a translation of that word. Over 98% of the audio is now available.
If you're interested, leave a note here in the comment thread or PM me saying which part you're interested in, and I'll send you details on how to do the recording.

We never managed to find anyone to voice the Second and Third Guards or the Page, but it seemed ridiculous to leave the project permanently stalled for this reason. It's posted in its current nearly-complete form. If anyone does feel moved to do the last few lines, we can add them!

LARA has made a remarkable amount of progress over the last two or three months, there are so many nice ideas in progress... LARA Antigone definitely not the least of them!
I’m so impatient for this LARA edition of Antigone to begin :)
If we can get together three people to voice Le Prologue, Antigone and La Nourrice, we could record those scenes as a proof of concept so that it's possible to get an idea of what the finished product is going to look like. They're quite short, if necessary we can redo them later.
Someone, thank you so much again for recording them! For the benefit of other people, we now have our first pieces of audio installed in the working LARA document, here. It's the initial lines by le Prologue in Tableau I.

Attention les francophones, this is your chance to star opposite Chadi! She has done a great recording of the title role.
I just realised that the links in the review were out of date, they should now be correct again.
The project went into hibernation while we did three other LARA plays, but Chadi is energetically reviving it. We'd be honoured if you would like to take one of the parts! Le Garde is a great comic role, Gwyn had a lot of fun with it in the the English edition... are you up for that?

I deeply get it. Even though sometimes the translation IS possible, the experience, the feelings we get by reading the translated version is far too different/vague from the original one. So yeah, totally agree on that!
Hope it goes well on LARA. Crossing fingers!
