it was amazing

"It feels personal, this storm. It feels as though it has saved all its fury for them."

Wow! What a page-turner. I enjoyed every minute of this book: the creepy setting, the perfect backdrop for the story to unfold, the flawed characters, each with a purse full of baggage. Telling from multiple points of view makes this book extremely fast-paced. There's a fair amount of dialogue, too, which I felt broke the story up and pushed things along quicker. And though this book is all fiction, it's a prime example of how small the world is and how people are connected in strange ways. This was a 5 star read for me, my first of 2021.

JanB Yay for a 5 star read! I loved the setting and if my reading wasn’t broken in 2020 I’m sure I would have enjoyed this even more :)
