Bethany is a former medical student, now working at the only job she could find at a call center. After leaving work one night she finds a dog trapped by barbed wire. She manages to free the dog, takes care of his injuries, but with no tags she isn't sure what to do with him. Cal can't believe Rufus, his well trained dog ran off after a cat. The next day he will try one more time to find his friend before he must return home. Much to his surprise Rufus appears with a beautiful young woman who explains how she found him. Bethany and Cal will go on with their lives with the knowledge that they will never see each other again, but they have no idea how wrong they are, or that they will have to fight for their lives to survive.
Well written, and compelling characters who will find love in spite of the danger they face from criminals and people in power. Wow, a lot of action, with some violence, and a plot filled with suspense. I think this is a must read, absolutely fantastic book.
