"With no doubts, a photo editor with no limits"
What do you like best about Affinity Photo?

I really appreciate how professional it feels while still being easy to use once you get the hang of it. The one-time payment is a huge plus compared to subscription models and once you tried it once, you will stick to it and use if often, and the performance is smooth even on large RAW files. I also like that its easy to setup and it supports non-destructive editing and has most of the advanced tools I’d expect from high-end software without overwhelming the workspace. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affinity Photo?

For me, the learning curve can be a bit steep if you’re coming from other editors like Photoshop. Some tools and workflows take time to get used to, and a few niche features available in Adobe’s ecosystem aren’t here yet. Also, having more built-in tutorials or guided help would make the transition easier for beginners Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Cheapest way to be a Professional Creative"
What do you like best about Affinity Photo?

Affinity Photo combines ease of use with a powerful feature set that rivals much more expensive software. The interface is intuitive and clean, allowing new users to quickly get started, while offering advanced tools like live filters, non-destructive editing, and professional-grade RAW development. The one-time purchase model makes implementation incredibly easy—no licensing hassles or subscriptions. I use it frequently, both for quick adjustments and complex compositions, and it consistently performs well. It’s a complete, dependable tool that adapts well to various creative needs, from photography to digital art, all without recurring costs or bloated software suites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affinity Photo?

Despite its strengths, Affinity Photo has some implementation quirks, especially for users migrating from Adobe tools—certain workflows take adjustment. While it's packed with features, a few key Photoshop-specific ones—like smart objects or more advanced automation—are missing. Also, the learning curve can be steep if you're new to image editing. I’ve also noticed that customer support, while helpful, isn’t as fast or comprehensive as that of larger providers. Still, these are minor trade-offs considering the value offered. With a bit of self-learning, Affinity becomes an everyday tool in my creative workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"An excellent software for advanced photo editing at the right price"
What do you like best about Affinity Photo?

Extremely useful professional-level tools for advanced photo editing, comparable to more well-known software. Excellent user interface and layout, which make the workflow pleasant. The price is competitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affinity Photo?

Limited automations are implemented if compared to other similar software, and also a limited plugin library. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It's Like Adobe Photoshop... But Better!"
What do you like best about Affinity Photo?

This easy to use photo editing software is among the greats! Great performance, great interface, and great price. The only thing lacking compared to Adobe Photoshop are the many AI features. However, if you are like me and don't use AI to generate content, this is not a problem. I find the "quick select too" to be more accurate than Photoshop's version, and coupled with Affinity Photo's built-in (and optional) machine learning AI quick select tool, the results are even better and faster. I will note that this machine learning AI does not send information outside of your computer, and does not use AI to generate content, making it safe and ethical to employ. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affinity Photo?

The only con is that Affinity Photo cannot be saved as Adobe master files. This makes it hard to share editable work with other people who strictly use Adobe. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comparable to Photoshop without dealing with the pain of Adobe subscriptions"
What do you like best about Affinity Photo?

Ease of use, and that most things are self-explanatory in the program Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affinity Photo?

Sometimes I do get confused about why a feature is acting a certain way, and it ends up being a small setting that I was unaware of. There are a plethora of tutorials for Affinity products, though, and I can usually find the solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Alternative supreme to ADOBE"
What do you like best about Affinity Photo?

the ultimate solution with an ecosystem between each software that is very well thought out. Improvements in tools and workflow. I use it as often as possible because it is easy to use. The best part is the software's opening, which is ultra-fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affinity Photo?

The difficulty of switching from ADOBE to Affinity has been challenging for me and it still is. I have ADOBE habits that I can't replicate with Affinity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A great alternative to Adobe"
What do you like best about Affinity Photo?

Affinity runs smoothly and offers all the core Image manipulation tools that one may expect from more expensive industry software, while available at a single affordable price point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affinity Photo?

It does have a little bit less documentation than some other, more widely used platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Creativity always within reach. My Affinity Photo review."
What do you like best about Affinity Photo?

I like the customizable cropping tools as they allow me to save templates and save time in my design projects. Affinity Photo has high capacity to handle high resolution images without affecting performance. The quality in its retouching tools allows me to work with multiple layers to experiment with different versions of an image; it works on both my laptop and iPad. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affinity Photo?

It has a smooth learning curve and frequent updates but Affinity Photo could improve if it added tools that automate area fills, visual content generation, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Alternative if wanted to Move from Adobe Photoshop"
What do you like best about Affinity Photo?

Cost. COmpared to other photo editors ROI is much better, as it offers many of the same features as competitors, but at a one-time cost instead of a subscription. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Affinity Photo?

As with all alternatives to Photoshop, there is a learning curve and sacrifice as not all features are implemented in Affinity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
