I enjoy that I can send our new clients a link to start opening their account(s). This way they can input their information. I like being able to send onboarding reminders through the platform. Tax harvesting and allocation changes are made easy as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some of our clients are old school and prefer a paper statement or paper application and the issue of not being able to have Betterment provide that have caused us to lose a couple of clients.

Having to search for the account number is a little cumbersome. Once you log in you should be able to easily access it, not search.

Customer service. I dislike having to email a question and wait for a response. At times we need an answer right away, but at times I've had to wait until the next day. PIcking up the phone is much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

First and foremost, they are a modern tech provider with a wonderful user interface. Clients rave about how much they like it compared to wherever they had their accounts prior. Occasionally I run across account types (up until recently, Solo 401k's - although they have just added that) or certain types of service requests that cannot be handled cleanly. The platform is extremely intuitive and easy to use/navigate without a lot of training being required. Simply put, it works exactly the way you want it to work but if you do get stuck, their back office support is absolutely fantastic and extremely responsive. Betterment does not incorporate a internal financial planning tool, however, they do seamlessly integrate with many of the pre-existing financial planning tools that many advisors utilize. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ease of account opening. I think its very hard to beat Betterment in ease. Also tax lot sales to generate 3K loss automatically each year at no extra cost is very helpful in new client acquisition. Their customer service response and positivity in helping RIA's has vastly improved after getting a new CEO few years back. Clearly she has brought a new attitude and vision for the company. Few things. They cant custody non residents of USA. If someone has lots of stock options, again its not the best for this. They compete with RIA's which is sometimes a conflict of interest. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Betterment offers numerous features that make it easier to manage my business. The fact that everything is paperless has simplified my life tremendously. The ease of onboarding clients is another plus. The process for moving assets is quick and easy. The tax loss harvesting and tax management programs are the best I have seen. The advisor and client portals are user friendly. Many clients are able to manage routine transactions such as making deposits or printing tax documents. Email communications are sent by Betterment with my name attached, which saves me a great deal of time and effort. Finally, the support is top notch. The only downside I have experienced is that as of now, Betterment doesn't offer all of the account options that I need to consolidate all of my clients with Betterment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The adviser platform is very easy to use and navigate. The Co-Pilot page makes it easy to see outstanding tasks and distribution needs. My clients love receiving the update emails and proactive information that Betterment shares on a regular basis, all emails are personalized with my company information, which is helpful for clients needing to reach out to me.
