What do you dislike about CAKE POS?

Honestly in my opinion it is as good as it gets. It can be a bit more friendly use of people that don't know or its a first time using it.

What do you like best about CAKE POS?

This is my 3rd POS and by far, my favorite. It is so user friendly, easy to learn, easy to add or change items or prices or virtually anything. The reports are easy to read and make perfect sense. The fact that they take the Credit Card fees out of each deposit is a Godsend! No more massive payment at the first of the month, when everything else comes out! I love this system!! What do you dislike about CAKE POS?

I wish the reports would be able to tell me exactly what my alcohol sales were without me having to add each individual item up and I with the monthly sales report would show me how much my tax exempt sales are. Also, I wish my staff could add their starting banks into the system everyday and have their Z report add that amount back in as funds they owe. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CAKE POS?

What do you dislike about CAKE POS?

It was difficult to set-up, and costly if I wanted the option to have it done for me. The cables are either too long or short and messy under the counter. If I want next-day deposit there is an additional cost--no thanks. I stopped processing payments on this system and used a third-party as it is cheaper and faster. I also think it is absurd that if I would like to use giftcards, there is a costly fee to purchase and maintaine the cards even if they are not being sold. I consider this price gouging as CAKE still receives a percentage of the consumers purchase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CAKE POS?

The simplicity of Cake can't be beat when compared to other POS systems. The Dependability and quick response time for any changes or issues I need help with from their support team is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CAKE POS?

Not sure if it is a dislike, since we are using the tablets and haven't used one but would rather see/try a hand held size order platform rather than a bulky IPad/tablet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CAKE POS?

Solid performing OS and hardware. Unlike many competitors the larger screen provide for a solid surface while typing in commands. This might not seem important but in a fast casual context this tiny feature equals expedited ordering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about CAKE POS?

Cake is a simple and easy to use POS. On the server/bartender side of things my new staff members are usally able to pick up the system on their first day and use it, and have detailed and advanced knowledge within their first week. I hardly do any training as the online resources and ease of use do not require me to have to sit their and explain or review features with staff. On the back end of things, I really like how easy it is to customize the features to the needs of our establishment, and the reporting and revenue centers have made my accounting much easier. When we were shopping for cake, the sales rep told us that the system is designed to be updated and we should see constant improvements and new features. I can honestly say Cake has stood behind this statement, we have seen in our two years of ownership, a number of updates, new features, and improvements to the system. The customer support is just a phone call away, I have never been on hold for hours, never had an issue go unresolved, and never had a bad customer service representative. What do you dislike about CAKE POS?

Cake has very few drawbacks in my book. Some of the features may not be as expansive as other systems on the market, but customer support is good about helping you to figure out ways to accomplish what you want. Some of the features I have felt were missing, were actually addressed in updates over the last two years, so who knows what the future holds. Other than features, the reporting information does have some limitations as far as how detailed you can go, and some aspects of the menu design and order implementation are not as detailed or a customizeable as I would like. However, please note these are all really nitpicks of the POS, as no system is perfect, I really don't see these as things that would keep anyone from being able to use this system to operate their business. What do you like best about CAKE POS?

We have used several platforms for our restaurant and café locations. Our business model of a vestal platform that we can customize to our needs is a must. We also wanted something that was user friendly, good technical support and affordable. Cake has fit our needs and was affordable as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about CAKE POS?

I would suggest better inventory features. It will keep track of sales but would love a hand held or Ipad we could walk into kitchen and do inventory from. It will need ability for recipe building so when you sell a sandwich it knows everything it will take from your inventory to make. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I worked and programmed register systems for over 30 years and I have been so pleased with working with CAKE.. The company and its people are very knowledgable and
