"Extremely Disappointed with PushPay"
What do you like best about ChurchStaq?

nothing, absolutely nothing DO NOT go with Pushpay Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ChurchStaq?

Our experience with PushPay has been incredibly disappointing. Here are the main issues we’ve faced:

Locked into 2-Year Commitments: The long-term contracts are restrictive and don’t offer the flexibility needed if your circumstances change or if you’re dissatisfied with the service.

Outdated Technology: The platform feels outdated and hasn’t kept up with modern standards. This has been a significant hindrance to our operations.

Incomplete Setup After 3 Years: Despite using PushPay for three years, we are still not fully set up. This is unacceptable and has caused numerous operational challenges.

Terrible Customer Service: The customer service is awful. We have to rely on them for most changes, which is both time-consuming and frustrating.

Not Suitable for Non-Church Organizations: If you’re not a church, definitely avoid PushPay. Even if you are a church, I would still advise against using them.

Questionable Ethics: Our customer service representative claimed to be a pastor, but his ethical practices do not align with what one would expect from a pastor.

Overall, I would not recommend PushPay to anyone. The combination of outdated technology, poor customer service, and restrictive contracts makes it a poor choice for any organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Not Bad For What It Does"
What do you like best about ChurchStaq?

I like that I can give donations to charitable organizations using their platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ChurchStaq?

The design (UI/UX) of the platform is very out-dated and needs an overhaul. Also, I'd wish that the user experience would keep the full transaction workflow within the app, without usually redirecting to a web page in a web browser (and if on a phone, opening a browser app). "Pushpay is Useful and Easy to Use"
What do you like best about ChurchStaq?

Pushpay is great for congregants of a local Church to set up automated giving and not have to worry about writing a weekly or monthly check. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ChurchStaq?

There really is nothing to dislike. Donations do have to be in the range of one to twenty-five thousand dollars. Occasionally someone will try to make a donation outside of this range. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Our Pushpay Experience"
What do you like best about ChurchStaq?

It is very user friendly and intuitive. People can give in a matter of seconds without getting frustrated. Our church adopted it pretty quickly without many issues. It also helps our church stay technologically up to date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ChurchStaq?

The cost. It is a pretty significant investment. There's a monthly fee in addition to the transaction fees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Pushpay makes Giving Easy"
What do you like best about ChurchStaq?

The simplicity of the pushpay system. Once the app is installed and you have an account setup it is extremely easy to give to your church or non-profit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ChurchStaq?

I don't have anything to that I would consider a negative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient"
What do you like best about ChurchStaq?

I like that Pushpay is a such an efficient way to give. Everything is made clear and simple with a strategy for how to create reoccurring givers. That was the key reason for our selection of them and why I recommend them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ChurchStaq?

One the weaknesses is that they over sell how much they are going to help you roll out your app. You really have to do a lot of the work on the design yourself. Additionally, it can be difficult to get your representative to anticipate your needs. Sometimes you have to spell out very clearly what you're looking for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple for both users and admins"
What do you like best about ChurchStaq?

It's super simple for users to set up an account and make a payment. The site is mobile-friendly and we are able to customize how it looks so it has our logo and images. Easy to track transactions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ChurchStaq?

Some of the reporting features could be improved. For example there's a "notes" field you can use from administrative point of view, but you can't search or run reports based on what's in the notes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"PushPay misrepresented and mislead us into their program"
What do you like best about ChurchStaq?

The ability for our people to give online. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ChurchStaq?

PushPay guaranteed that we would get a 5% increase in our giving during the first year that we used them or we would get our first year annual fee returned to us. We didn't reach the guaranteed 5% increase. They gave us NO coaching in the process. When we attempted to collect on their guarantee, it took us nearly a year and a half to get them to make a decision ... and then it was in the negative! No return of the money. They told us we hadn't done one of the steps they required. Really? It takes a year and a half (and a lot of wasted phone time and emails) to tell us we hadn't done one of their steps. It seems like that would be pretty obvious right up front. After all, since they immediately turned us down, why the heck didn't they know the reason we had been turned down? Companies don't turn down their guarantees without a reason. Yet it took PushPay a year and a half to give us a reason. If they saw we weren't implementing one of their requirements, why didn't they coach us to do it?

I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. We are still using it -- only because it would be a waste of time and money to switch over to another company. However, if you are new to the online giving world, please look elsewhere. You will hunt for hours to track down a phone number or responsible person within their company to get any help from them. If our church did business the way PushPay does, no one would attend our church.

When we told them we would be writing a review that would reflect poorly about PushPay, they only tried to upscale us into a more costly area of PushPay. Really? We aren't even satisfied with what we currently have. Why would we want to go deeper with your company? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Jordan Mason of Pushpay

We all have room for improvement and you have called us out on ours. I am sorry your experience with Pushpay hasn't been what you expected and I truly would like to hear more about what happened and what we can do to make things right. We value our customers and learning more about your experience will help us make changes to ensure others don’t have a similar experience. If you are willing to work with us to make this right, please email our Care team (care@pushpay.com) and I will personally follow up with you.
