Some of the data, especially for smaller or newer companies, can be a little behind and needs updating. While the customer support team has been responsive whenever I’ve reached out, I do think more proactive updates would improve the overall experience. It is important to evaluate additional resources such as Pitchbook and CB Insights, to discover the data and information that I am not able to readily access with Crunchbase. The information in the database is not always as comprehensive or recent as I would like it to be, and hence I need to access alternate sources to verify and/or supplement at times.
