What do you like best about Dunn Solutions?

We have appreciated the fact that Dunn is a "one-stop shop" for advice with our data warehousing initiatives. They have helped us build and troubleshoot servers, advised us on data design, performed upgrades and patches, improved end-user reports, and even worked with upper administration to help facilitate an institutional understanding of how data warehousing can be used at an educational institution.

Our relationship with Dunn began when we were trying to unravel a snarly mess that had been created by a former consultant. Most of what our team has learned about sound data warehousing principles has come from Dunn Solutions. We continue to be impressed by the breadth of knowledge represented by their talented team. What do you dislike about Dunn Solutions?

Nothing really comes to mind here. We have at times been sad to see certain members of Dunn's staff move on to pursue other professional goals, but that is normal and we've never felt "abandoned" after a personnel change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Dunn Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you?

I believe the most important work the college has done under Dunn's guidance was a complete re-engineering of the underlying data structure of our warehouse. We implemented some very bad recommendations from an earlier consultant and our platform was in disarray. In a week-long, on-premise engagement, representatives from Dunn patiently worked with us on how to change our design concepts, resulting in a much more efficient data structure and, consequently, faster query/reporting results.

We are currently (July 2020) working with Dunn to migrate our data warehousing to Oracle Cloud; they will primarily be assisting us with that by rebuilding the SAP servers in the cloud environment and making sure our existing data loads and reporting are properly repointed and working efficiently.
