What do you like best about Deltek Costpoint?

- Upcoming Deltek Harmony will definitely going to have user friendly user interface

- DCAA compliant POOL Rate computation and Planning Module with Project, New Business Budget and Org Budget is most useful module for finance team.

- Forward rate computation in Org Budget from planning module.

What do you dislike about Deltek Costpoint?

- Direct update of GL posting to project tables, this will eliminate the waiting time.

- Should allow to integrate the Costpoint with open source tool like Power BI so that can have Top Management a dashboard which is very limited in CER Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Deltek Costpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?

- It is great ERP system to have P2P, O2R, R2R tracking for account and finance team

- The financial capabilities at Org level, Reorg Level, Project Level, Alternate Project level make it robust and very useful for multi fold dimensional reporting

- Deltek's planning module help to do Project and Resource planning, also New business planning ahead of time. It works independently and collobrate with actual data from Costpoint. What do you like best about Deltek Costpoint?

What I appreciate most about Costpoint is how it brings together contract, financial, and compliance information in one system. I manage a large portfolio of government and private grants and contracts, and Costpoint helps ensure that project managers, finance, and compliance are all working from the same data. The system makes it easier to stay on top of contract modifications, billing terms, and funding limits, and the audit trail features are especially helpful when working with federal awards. I also rely heavily on the Business Intelligence module so that I am able to run customized reports, which has been key to tracking spending, burn rates, and projections across multiple contracts. What do you dislike about Deltek Costpoint?

One of the biggest challenges I’ve had with Costpoint is navigating the reporting fields outside of the BI module. The field names can be overly technical or counterintuitive, and unless you're in the system daily, it’s not easy to remember which fields to pull for specific reports. If it weren’t for the BI module, which simplifies reporting and lets me build visuals more intuitively, I’d probably struggle more with extracting the data I need. I understand the system is built for depth and compliance, but the user interface for reporting could be more user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Deltek Costpoint solving and how is that benefiting you?

Costpoint helps solve the challenge of keeping financial information organized and accessible across a complex portfolio of contracts and grants. I work closely with project managers, and having a centralized system where we can track budgets, spending, and remaining funds in real time has made a big difference. It helps ensure that project teams stay within budget and understand their financial standing without needing to dig through spreadsheets or request reports from accounting. What do you like best about Deltek Costpoint?

Deltek Costpoint, overall, is easy to use and navigate. It is easy to implement for those who have little to no experience with Deltek Costpoint. There are numerous features that are very beneficial, if and when the features are utilized by the company to it's full capacity. From my personal experience thus far, I use Deltek Costpoint daily and have yet to be exposed to any other comparable ERP system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Deltek Costpoint?

It is very helpful that we can create new reports and formats to tailor to our specific needs. There are a lot of features for account and program cost management that make my job much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Deltek Costpoint?

The downside is that the T&E side is spearate from the Costpoint side. That is if we make changes to a timesheet and import, but then it doesn't get posted, we have to manually check reports to identfy those inconsistencies.
