What do you like best about Discuss?

The platform itself is very intuitive and easy to use.

The project tech support team is consistently responsive and helpful, ensuring everything on the back end runs smoothly. They make sure respondents have strong connections and help them to connect if they don't.

Their AI generated transcripts are also high quality, helps to make analysis easier and more efficient.

Respondents can complete homework or prework on the platform which allows responses via text, photo and video. All is stored in one convenient place.

What do you dislike about Discuss?

What do you like best about Discuss?

The scheduling system poses logistical issues for some projects. For instance, in cases where clients are recruiting/scheduling using Calendly, we can't generate participant links in advance for them to send right away; instead, we have to schedule then update the session invite. What do you like best about Discuss?

The Discuss platform has become the go-to platform for all of my clients, and for good reason. The platform's features are designed for research from the ground up and make conducting qualitative research feasible on a global scale.

Discuss' feature set enables all manner of virtual qualitative exercises, including concept evaluation, launching polls, screen sharing, participant mark-up, and many more. On top of all this, the platform is incredibly solid and runs well on a wide variety of devices and with varying strengths of bandwidth.

Beyond this is the rapidly evolving Genie AI platform, which enables a wide range of ways of leveraging their AI engine to directly address key research questions, query any segment of participant for granular insights. And it can do so at scale for any global market via auto transcription of interviews conducted in a wide range of languages into English.

My experiences of using Discuss for participant recruitment have also been excellent, and the quality of their participants are consistently strong and on-target.

The thing that really separates Discuss, however, is the platform's excellent real-time session support. They ensure each participant's connection, audio, and video are solid prior to each session, and play an important role in ensuring every session runs smoothly.

Since beginning to use Discuss in 2019, I've gotten to the point that can't imagine doing my work without it. It enables me to work efficiently and in markets I couldn't have imagined even a couple of years ago.

What do you dislike about Discuss?

While Discuss excels in nearly every aspect, one enhancement that could elevate the experience even further is the integration of background noise cancellation for both moderators and participants.

This feature would significantly improve audio clarity during group sessions, especially when participants are in noisy environments. It would also reduce the need for frequent muting, allowing for more natural and uninterrupted conversations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Discuss?

The ease of use for respondents and clients. It really makes the setup of sessions so easy, I dont have to wrry about observers and respondents interacting. I dont need to worry about client data being compromised and respondents feeling intimidated by seeing a lot of observers on the call. I love the translation functionality, the support team has been exceptional and has made running a project so easy! It is easy to setup, implement, update and run the sessions. What do you like best about Discuss?

Discuss has a great user interface, a library of resources, and active support. It allows a lot of manual input while also offering automation and support when needed. It brings together the moderator, project manager, recruiters, and viewers in a very cohesive way. It integrates with Google and Outlook calendars, which helps a ton. What do you dislike about Discuss?

There's nothing I don't like. I have had some miscommunication during project setup. I'm not always sure which settings to toggle on and off and what it will mean for the project overall. I'm learning with experience. You have to think really thoughtfully about what access each team member will need, and it's been somewhat of a juggling act to nail down who does what (who will send respondent invites, etc.), but we're getting it, and the support is great. What do you like best about Discuss?

Biggest upside was the ease of use. There were no mandates on setting up an account and going through any lengthy authentication process. I could simply click on a meeting link provided by my agency, enter my email and join as an observer. I also liked the user interface and the fact that it had some features such as backroom chat to provide feedback to the facilitators. What do you dislike about Discuss?

What do you like best about Discuss?

Discuss.IO has been a game-changer for gathering quick, meaningful consumer insights. The platform makes it incredibly easy to connect with real people in real-time, which has been invaluable for testing consumer perceptions of our industry and our brand. We get to talk to our customer in a 1:1 forum, while others can observe, and Discuss will handle the incentives. I like that Discuss let's us focus on the research and they handle the managerial bits.

What really stands out is the real-time collaboration—teams can join live sessions, observe, and adjust strategy on the fly. Compared to traditional focus groups, Discuss.IO is not only faster but also more cost-effective. If you're looking for an agile, efficient way to bring the voice of your customer into your advertising decisions, this platform is worth considering.

The global reach is a huge plus, allowing us to validate ideas across different markets effortlessly.

The AI-powered analysis also helps synthesize key takeaways quickly, saving time on research synthesis. Genie AI is also an amazing feature. Genie is a bit of a collaborator and works with me on every phase of the project, but especially through the analysis phase. The AI is essential from the start of the project when setting up the guide and the tags, to the last phases of the project when analyzing interviews for insights.

Customer support is always a plus. I'm always pleased to talk with the Discuss team and trust they the best interest of the product and our brand in mind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Discuss?

Some of the downsides are how slow the edits can go. You can run an interview and cut a video in the same platform, which is a major upside. The downside can be the quality of the edit because we're not using an intelligent software like Adobe. It does what it can though! I would say that is the only room for improvement. 1. Need to add a program so a reminder email goes out to the clients and respondent(s) 1-2 hours before their scheduled appointment

2. Need to be able to bulk import viewers (with their viewing status) - maybe an Excel sheet - waste of time typing manually when there are 10-20 members to upload

3. Adding members as viewers to a scheduled group or IDI - add the option to check all box or besides manually checking names (per group or IDI)

4. Edit invitations so more visually appealing and tailored to specific groups of observers (team members vs. clients vs. support people outside of research company)

5. Customer Support: Live help button (not an AI auto bot that doesn't react specifically to a question - send article links isn't always the answer as the links need to be scrolled through and may not answer the question)

What do you like best about Discuss?

The tech support for our focus groups are extremely professional and proactive. They address any needs we have quickly and thoroughly and I couldn't ask for more from any of them. The platform is stable, clear, and highly effective, especially when coupled with a good recruit. Setting up focus groups is easy to do, particularly for frequent users or organizations that conduct lots of focus groups.

I would highly recommend using Discuss.io to anyone interested in conducting any kind of qualitative research. Of all the platforms my firm has used, they are by far the best. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Discuss?

The transcription process leaves a lot to be desired. The AI software in general is not especially useful and can probably be dispensed with. The machine transcripts always need to be supplemented with human transcripts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
