What do you like best about Followr.ai?
I will be honest that when I saw the availability of using Followr, it didn't give me much confidence. Its sales promise was the typical one of any social media manager that promises to help users increase their online presence, manage their social media accounts more effectively, schedule posts, analyze performance data, among other functions that usually embellish the descriptions of this type of platform. The overuse of Chat GPT for content generation is becoming more noticeable and makes many of the AI assistance functions questionable. In theory, it allows for easy implementation of these contents to reduce the margin of the group dedicated to managing a company's networks, but they generally always fail. I can say that Followr is the first that can achieve it.
The best part is that it not only integrates text generation but also images and has an exclusive tab to generate posts based on tasks that tend to be repetitive over a long timeline (for example, a year) but end up being repetitive, I mean Father's Day, Mother's Day, special dates, employee birthdays, etc., etc., etc. Without a doubt, the post generator becomes very useful in these kinds of things. In fact, the platform can make suggestions, and you can decide whether it's worth publishing or even modifying what is advised.
Another highlight is the Calendar view, which allows you to see the entire month's schedule in a clear and organized way. It is really useful when working with multiple accounts because the chances of making mistakes increase each time, and this facilitates having a global panoramic view of all the month's content, which, together with the Post Dashboard, integrates wonderfully, making things easier.
Personally, I really liked the configuration and setup of the platform; it is agile and easy, unlike others I have tried, which make what should be simple very complicated. This is one of Followr's strengths because, whether you are a single user, a company, or an agency, you will be able to work with powerful, scalable, and secure tools.
At the time of writing this review, Followr is working on the "Autopilot" module, which promises to put social media management on automatic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What do you dislike about Followr.ai?
The negative aspects of the platform are not entirely related to its performance but rather to its margin. I bought the highest tier on Appsumo, but the information became very confusing at first because the founder intended for all additional functions after the purchase of the license to be charged separately. This caused the community to react quite aggressively, as it is an unethical practice towards those who help support a platform from its beginnings. So, followr had no choice but to change the conditions of their deal to avoid alienating the business software community or, in the worst case, to prevent an atmosphere that would associate the brand with pretentious goals. It is worth clarifying that they made a good decision.
Another thing that is not very clear is the use of credits for AI services; some consume more credits than others, and this sometimes becomes confusing, which you only learn to manage over time to more or less calculate the continued use of generative artificial intelligence tools. It is important to clarify that being a consumable resource, if they run out, it is necessary to purchase additional credits outside the plan.
Something both negative and positive is that the development team of this software is originally Spanish-speaking, which means that Spanish was the native language of the software's code. However, for those who are not native speakers, this can be a problem. Currently, followr is working on the interface and correcting all those small translation alterations, but while that happens, if there is no native fluency in the language, it can become complicated.
Another aspect that is not so favorable is the metrics; they are not as specialized and specific as those provided by META or other software, so do not expect much from the measurement tab, as the data is fundamentally basic and, in some cases, even irrelevant. They will undoubtedly have to work on this in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
