"Effortless 401(k) Management with Intuitive Platform and Transparent Fees"
What do you like best about Human Interest?

Human Interest has made managing our company retirement plan straightforward and efficient. As an employer, I regularly use the platform to oversee our 401(k) for the team, and I find it very intuitive and easy to navigate. The automated payroll integrations save a considerable amount of time with each pay cycle, and both employees and administrators remain well-informed through clear dashboards and timely reminders. I also value the transparent fee structure and the dedicated support provided during onboarding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Human Interest?

Setting up the platform for our company took more time than we anticipated, and a few of the onboarding steps could have been explained more clearly. Additionally, I feel that the reporting features would benefit from greater customization, particularly for employers interested in analyzing contribution trends or exporting more detailed plan data. That said, after the initial setup was complete, the platform has been easy and smooth to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best way to get a 401(k) program up and running in an efficient way. Outstanding Platform"
What do you like best about Human Interest?

As a small start up, having the ability to offer a 401(k) plan to attract employees is vital. There were not many options in this space that made it so seamless and easy to not only set up, but manage the plan. Their UX/UI was carefully crafted and makes adding this benefit for employees not a drain on time and resources of management. They are very hands on when needed, providing updates and tasks required. The platform is simple to use and easy for employees to sign up, modify, and even rollover if they leave and decide to make a change. The support and team are top notch and have always followed up on anything that needed a deeper dive for an employee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Human Interest?

I'm sitting here, trying to think of the downsides of using Human Interest or something I dislike. There is nothing I can think of other than maybe a branding name change. I do have to explain that Human Interest is the 401(k) plan, as most people are used to seeing Fidelity, Vanguard etc. The name comes across to some as a social cause or way to do charitable donations. "Exceptional Support and Seamless 401k Integration for Franchise Owners"
What do you like best about Human Interest?

As a new franchise owner in the home care industry, improving employee satisfaction and retention was one of my top priorities. After gathering feedback from both applicants and current employees, a clear trend emerged: they were looking for more employee-sponsored benefits, particularly 401(k) options.

I reached out to several providers and ultimately chose Human Interest for a few key reasons. From my very first conversation, their customer support was exceptional and has remained consistent throughout the process. The entire implementation was smooth—Human Interest seamlessly integrated with my payroll company and bookkeeper, which made everything more efficient. The platform itself is user-friendly, not only for me as the plan administrator but also for our employees.

Additionally, the flexibility and features offered are exactly what we needed, and the pricing is unbeatable. I’m confident this will have a positive impact on both employee retention and overall satisfaction, and I’m glad I chose Human Interest to help us build a strong benefits offering. What do you dislike about Human Interest?

I do not have any negatives at this time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless 401(k) Management with Seamless Integration and Transparent Pricing"
What do you like best about Human Interest?

Human Interest provides a user-friendly platform that is easy for both administrators and employees to navigate. Setting up plans, enrolling participants, and tracking contributions are all straightforward processes, and the dashboard is designed to keep information clear and well-organized. A major benefit is the automated administration—integrations with payroll systems such as Rippling, Gusto, and ADP greatly reduce manual tasks, as contributions, deductions, and compliance filings are synced automatically. The pricing structure is transparent, and the fees are lower than those of many traditional 401(k) providers, making it a cost-effective choice for small and mid-sized businesses. Employees have access to intuitive tools that let them manage their contributions, monitor investment performance, and access educational resources directly from the platform. Human Interest also stands out for its compliance support, taking care of responsibilities like 5500 filings and nondiscrimination testing, which would otherwise burden HR or Finance teams, thus saving time and reducing risk. Finally, the onboarding process is smooth and well-supported, with clear guidance throughout implementation to ensure everything is set up seamlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Human Interest?

One aspect where Human Interest could enhance its service is in customer support and post-implementation communication. Although response times from support are occasionally prompt, there are instances of delays, especially after the onboarding process when clients move from having a dedicated representative to general support. The platform is intentionally designed for ease of use, which works well for simple plans, but it may seem limiting for organizations with more complex requirements, such as custom eligibility rules, unique vesting schedules, or the need to manage multiple entities. Following implementation, the ongoing communication and relationship management can feel insufficient, leaving some users wishing for more consistent support as their company’s needs change. "Helpful 401(k) Setup and Rollover Support"
What do you like best about Human Interest?

Setting up a 401(k) has a surprising amount of legal complexity and HI helped us navigate it pretty quickly. The onboarding specialist was able to field all of my difficult questions. As an owner and employee, I was pleased with the rollover support when things went askew with my previous provider. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Human Interest?

Let me first say that Human Interest seems to do the hard things well.

While HI offers many investment options, your particular business may be too small to access many of them due to minimum investment sizes. This is not a Human Interest policy so no other provider is going to be able to do any better for you. I would have liked to have seen the number of choices immediately suitable for us as most fund minimums are either $3,000 or $50,000 and not in between so it should not be too challenging to find this number. Initially we were given an incorrect list of investments and so after researching and making selections were told none of the options were available, which I found a little frustrating.

But these two problems are related and could both be solved with a simple tool inside the platform which would show you available investments filtered by fund minimums. Then, allow that to populate any paperwork required instead of me copying and pasting it manually.

This is a rather minor product improvement for them that I would expect them to get to eventually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined 401(k) Administration with Reliable Payroll Sync and Easy Onboarding"
What do you like best about Human Interest?

Human Interest makes 401(k) admin simple. The payroll sync works reliably, the employee portal is easy to use, and compliance tasks like notices and filings are largely automated. Plan setup was straightforward and the onboarding materials helped employees enroll quickly. Pricing is clear and the fiduciary support reduces risk for a small to mid sized firm. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Human Interest?

Support quality can be uneven during busy periods, and response times vary, the AI assistant sometimes makes mistakes which makes it less reliable. Sync with BambooHR is great but can backfire - it assumes that everyone who is in the system is eligible for 401K which is not always the case and requires manual unenrollment Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Onboarding and Excellent Service with Human Interest"
What do you like best about Human Interest?

The onboarding agents and process was smooth and highly efficient. Everybody that we've talked to from Human Interest have been professional and very personable.

Integrating our policy from our former provider was effortless on our part (apart from a few forms). They really took the wheel in handling everything.

Using the administrative tools on their website have been nothing like I've experienced before with our 401(K) providers. The platform is superb! We are on their on a weekly basis - it's just a great experience all the way around.

We would highly recommend making the change! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Human Interest?

I do not have anything bad to say about Human Interest. We have had a great start and experience up to this point. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Human Interest platform automated 401(k) and 403(b) retirement planning."
What do you like best about Human Interest?

We are finding the platform intuitive and easy to use for managing contributions, investments, and account information. Human Interest works seamlessly with payroll providers, automating deductions and reducing the chance of errors. This automation has helped our HR and finance teams save significant time and effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Human Interest?

The app could improve its process for handling accounts closures and distributions in a timely manner. Delays in these areas can result in prolonged account activity and continued fees. Aside from this issue, I have found the app to be very helpful overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Sales & Onboarding, But Account Transition Needs Improvement"
What do you like best about Human Interest?

The most helpful aspect was being able to discuss our needs and specific details with a salesperson who truly focused on what we required. He made sure we selected the plan that suited us best and then introduced us to an onboarding team member, who helped make the onboarding process smooth and straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Human Interest?

After completing the onboarding process, I found that the handoff to a dedicated account manager was less seamless than I expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our account representative made the process simple to understand, guiding us through the details of creating a plan tailored to our small company and helping us secure the best possible benefits for a business of our size.

After implementation, the integration with QuickBooks made it very convenient to set up, monitor, and adjust plans for our employees. We couldn't ask for more! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Human Interest?
