I really appreciate most of the features that Quickbooks offers. I used Quickbooks Desktop for three years, but when things switched over to Quickbooks Online, I found that I could no longer manage the accounting for my three companies within the online version. Now, I have to juggle both the online version and my old Quickbooks Desktop software. The yearly cost difference is significant—$970 per year for the online version compared to being able to purchase the software outright and upgrade only when necessary.
