"Essential for ATS but Setup Needs Work"
What do you like best about JazzHR?

I appreciate how JazzHR simplifies the job posting process, particularly with the ease of posting jobs and its seamless integration with indeed.com. This capability enhances our hiring efficiency by allowing us to reach a broader pool of candidates effectively. Additionally, the general user interface of JazzHR is straightforward and easy to navigate. This simplicity is beneficial for daily operations, making the system user-friendly and accessible, even amidst other complexities. Furthermore, JazzHR aids us significantly by enabling the tracking of EEO information from applicants, which allows us to better understand and monitor our diversity numbers based on the data, thus supporting our organizational goals related to diversity and inclusion. What do you dislike about JazzHR?

I found the initial setup of JazzHR to be challenging due to limited training and enablement resources. The areas like setting up interview guides, accessing interview results, and using the support card system were difficult to understand without proper guidance from JazzHR. Additionally, there seems to be an issue with not being able to retrieve the original posting date of a job once it's closed, which poses a challenge in tracking and reviewing previous postings. "Customizable Workflows and Collaborative Hiring Make JazzHR a Recruitment Powerhouse"
What do you like best about JazzHR?

When it comes to customizing workflows, we are able to adjust the hiring stages to fit our team's specific process. This flexibility makes tracking candidates much simpler, and we also benefit from insights into hiring metrics, which help us refine our recruitment strategy. The platform supports collaborative hiring by enabling several team members to review, comment on, and rate candidates, which leads to better decision-making. Additionally, JazzHR streamlines job posting by allowing us to distribute listings to multiple job boards with a single click, saving time and boosting visibility. Managing candidates is straightforward as well, with features that help us organize resumes, schedule interviews, and communicate efficiently with applicants. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JazzHR?

One area that could be improved is the auto-assignment of the assigned recruiter when updating a candidate’s disposition. Currently, we have to manually assign the recruiter, which adds extra steps and can lead to inconsistencies or delays in tracking ownership. It would be helpful if JazzHR could automatically retain or assign the recruiter based on previous actions or workflow rules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Basic ATS, Cost-Effective But Lacks Features"
What do you like best about JazzHR?

JazzHR centralizes candidates into one place, which helps in organizing recruitment processes even though it offers basic functionality. It was a more cost-effective choice compared to other vendors we considered. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JazzHR?

JazzHR’s functionality is quite limited and does not meet our expectations, particularly in terms of reporting capabilities. The offer letter system lacks customization options, which has caused recurring issues, and we’ve experienced multiple difficulties with both onboarding and the texting features. Customizing and integrating the career page has also proven problematic. In addition, the platform does not provide adequate privacy controls for resume sharing, which can expose sensitive information such as salary details and addresses. Overall, the system feels basic and rudimentary compared to other ATS platforms, lacking the advanced features we need. Integration with Paylocity was especially time-consuming, taking nearly two years to function properly. Key areas such as privacy settings, interview settings, offer letter configuration, candidate pipelining, sourcing, reporting, and dashboard visibility for job stages remain inadequate. Onboarding employees across different entities has also been challenging, only one entity is currently functioning correctly after a lengthy adjustment period. Ultimately, JazzHR’s functionalities have created more challenges than solutions, with cost-efficiency being its only notable advantage for organizations operating on a very strict budget. "Robust Features but Setup and Support Need Work"
What do you like best about JazzHR?

I have been using JazzHR for five years and appreciate its complexity and affordability compared to other ATS systems. JazzHR acts as a one-stop-shop ATS, which I find incredibly valuable as it consolidates a variety of functions such as onboarding, e-signature setups, and document storage all in one area, eliminating the need for Excel and printouts. This consolidation makes the system much more manageable and streamlined. I find the interview guides to be a standout feature, greatly beneficial in guiding the recruitment process without resorting to paper documents. The applicant tracking feature through the process is another essential tool I consistently use. Additionally, JazzHR's posting method is very easy to use, which is a significant advantage. The ease of use, coupled with the system already being set up from long-term use, are strong points that make me consider continuing its use. Furthermore, the cost-effectiveness of JazzHR is a compelling reason to maintain the service, as well as the excellent breakdown of features like the interview guides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JazzHR?

I found the setup process of JazzHR quite challenging as it was time-consuming, and unfortunately, I didn't receive much assistance. Unlike other systems that help with implementation, I had to do everything from scratch myself and occasionally reach out to the sales manager for advice. Moreover, the reporting feature is inadequate, and despite promises five years ago to allow multiple answers for disqualifying questions, this has yet to be implemented. This lack of improvement and support in reporting and questions selection is disappointing and might drive me to consider other options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Cost-Effective ATS with Room for Improvement"
What do you like best about JazzHR?

I truly appreciate JazzHR for being our recruiting platform, facilitating our hiring processes efficiently. The platform's integration capabilities, particularly the webhook that exports hiring data directly into our CRM so the entire organization stays updated, are immensely beneficial. The ability to post job openings across multiple job boards and track candidate interactions, including discussions and interviews, streamlines our hiring process, relieving us from manual spreadsheet management. JazzHR's automation features, such as automated email triggers and workflow setups, have significantly sped up and optimized our interview processes, making the hiring journey smoother and more time-efficient. The questionnaire feature is another aspect I value highly, as it allows us to create custom sales assessments and screening questionnaires, helping us filter candidates swiftly. The automation of candidate notifications once they complete these questionnaires and the data's accessibility in candidate profiles enhance our efficiency. Additionally, the AI feature called TalentFit is incredibly helpful in assessing candidate profiles against job descriptions, ensuring that candidates align well with our requirements. This AI feature saves us time and effort, helping maintain the quality of our recruitment process. Lastly, the cost-effectiveness of JazzHR is noteworthy, making it suitable for a small to medium-sized business like ours, and offering a good balance of functionality without the hefty costs of other top-tier ATS options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JazzHR?

I find the transition and migration to JazzHR challenging. It requires starting over with job setups, workflows, and email templates. The data transfer is limited and manual, especially since the format desired by JazzHR for data ingestion is not compatible with the way Greenhouse provided it. Resumes are separated and not automatically merged, forcing us to manually move candidates to the correct stages. JazzHR lacks a true merge profile or transfer candidate option, which is problematic. For instance, if a candidate is better suited for a different role or location, there is no transfer option to move their profile seamlessly without losing data. Additionally, the inability to refresh job postings more frequently than every ninety days without creating new versions is inconvenient, particularly when we want to refresh job postings every thirty days due to our volume recruiting model. "Simplicity of JazzHR Shines Despite Minor Downtime Issues"
What do you like best about JazzHR?

I appreciate that JazzHR was recommended to us based on the simplicity of the program, and it has lived up to that with its user-friendly interface. It simplifies many processes, making it easy to learn and navigate through different options. I am particularly impressed with how it has helped with the standardization of processes, especially the templates on offer letters. These tools streamline my workflow, making my recruiting efforts more organized. The documentation and candidate communication features are quite beneficial, as they allow for clear communication within the team and tracking of candidate information effortlessly. This has been a dramatic improvement from my previous experience with ADP. I also find the tasks feature extremely helpful in keeping me organized by allowing me to manipulate tasks to come up at the beginning of the day, which was something we didn't have before. Furthermore, JazzHR's integration with our existing software, like Gem, Willow, and Calendly, has been seamless, improving our recruiting process without causing disruptions. Lastly, I find the cost of JazzHR appealing compared to other vendors, which is a significant factor for leadership. Overall, I am happy with JazzHR and would rate it a solid ten, or at least a nine and a half, due to its occasional system downtimes. But I'm very satisfied and would definitely recommend it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JazzHR?

I am occasionally frustrated when the system goes down, requiring me to constantly refresh to proceed with my work. This disruption is the primary issue I have encountered with JazzHR, and it affects the otherwise smooth experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The Best ATS for Recruitment Out There"
What do you like best about JazzHR?

I love the simplicity of JazzHR and the functionality, they make everything extremely user friendly, visually appealing and attractive, and overall great outcomes with the quality of candidates we pull in. I love the automation, the different stages, the automatic responses for knock out questions or emails. It's the best tool in my arsenal! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JazzHR?

The only thing I dislike has been when I spell a word wrong in an email with a candidate, and it doesn't have auto-correct. That would be a function/feature I would like to see implemented in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Hiring with Room for Improvement"
What do you like best about JazzHR?

JazzHR offers a user-friendly and centralized platform that makes managing open positions simple and efficient. I appreciate being able to view all job postings directly from the dashboard, which helps me stay organized and up to date. The integration with Calendly is a standout feature—allowing candidates to self-schedule interviews has significantly streamlined the coordination process. Additionally, the platform helps reduce advertising costs by posting to multiple job boards at once, making it a cost-effective tool for recruiting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JazzHR?

One limitation I’ve encountered is the lack of customization in the interview section, particularly with the text input tools. I often use abbreviations in my notes and would like them to automatically expand into full text, as I can in other programs with a configurable dictionary. Unfortunately, JazzHR does not currently support this feature, which prevents me from using it effectively for interview documentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"JazzHR Is the Cautionary Tale You'll Wish You Had Listened To"
What do you like best about JazzHR?

I don't have anything positive to say other than the cost. But truly, you get what you pay for. And in this case you pay for stress, confusion and poor service disguised as policy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JazzHR?

We switched from Lever to JazzHR in 2022. What followed has been hands down, the worst experience I've ever had with an ATS in my over 20 years of recruitment. Our migration from Lever was promised to be seamless. Instead what we got was an incoherent dump of resumes, notes and requisitions. I left the company for 6. months, came back and the data was still in limbo. What is there now, is highly unusable.

The system is clunky, outdated and confusing for everyone involved. Not just our recruiters, but hiring managers and even interviewers do not enjoy using the product due to non-sensical workflows.

Recently, we were auto-upgraded to a higher pricing tier after exceeding a bulk email cap with no warning or approval. Their response? That is was "in the Terms of Service" and that we'd have to wait a FULL billing cycle before they would consider a downgrade. So prorated the cost for our current billing cycle, and despite notifying them immediately that we are not interested in the upgrade, we have to pay for the next full billing cycle. For something ironically that we don't even use!

There was no attempt at flexibility. No real dialogue. Just copy and pasted replies citing "over 21,000 customers" and asking us not to send follow ups because it creates "duplicate tickets". Even when I escalated directly to multiple people, I was dismissed or ignored. To add insult to injury, the same rep who ignored by escalation request followed up a week later to pitch a new AI tool! With no recognition of our ongoing issue.

Despite multiple clear communications that we did not authorize a tier upgrade or price increase, they attempted to charge us MORE than the upgrade. When we pushed back, they claimed a notice had been sent to our billing contact. Yet no such email was ever received and they couldn't provide a copy or date that it was sent.

If you care about transparency, reliability and actual customer support ... steer far, far away from JazzHR. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great way to post jobs in one place get broad reach"
What do you like best about JazzHR?

One place for my recruiting needs - posting, communicating, connected to my preferred application, customer support when needed, and flexibility for workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JazzHR?

Some features are clunky but you get used to them with continued use. The price point is great if you're recruiting on a regular basis, but with the market being slow right now, it feels like a lot to just have it sitting there. I wish there was a midway point between hero & pro, or have an idle setting for small companies. When I post technical positions I tend to get hundreds of bots or overseas applicants - I hope JazzHR can work with the posting sites to better weed out unqualified applicants.
