Lightcast has grown impressively year-over-year in my opinion. Their content continues to grow in volume & in its relevancy/timeliness. Their Knowledge Base is the most thorough and easy to comprehend resource of any database I've used - it clearly defines their methodology, terminology, etc. for each bit of data they report. Additionally, their customer support has always had quick response times and is incredibly knowledgeable whenever I've had questions about content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Lightcast relies heavily on BLS data for it's wage curves & talent supply by compensation reports which can drastically skew the reports towards outdated data. Their advertised wage reports are immensly helpful for current competitive wages, but I wish the advertised wages were (more heavily) factored into their regular wage reports. The data within Lightcast has been instrumental in our success. It has allowed us to bring more value added services to our clients. The information contained within the platform has give our business development team far more confidence with solving customer problems. The product has also allowed us to make informed decsions when entering new markets and has prevented us from making mistakes on items we may have speculated on in the past. The system is very straight forward and easy to use. The support from the Lightcast team still continues to impress me. They are with you in lock step and always available to my team to answer questions. They have taken time to help our team frame the information correctly when in the field and consulting with clients. While the data is good the SOC code system is often flawed. When I am working with hyper specific job postings even adding filters often doesn't produce the talent pool I am looking for. From census and BLS data to job posting and social profile data, anything you need to great a thoughtful and fact filled strategy is at your fingertips. I like how Lighcast has government data all in one place and can run attractive, easy to read reports that mean you don't have to go searching or reorganizing data in Excel for presentations. It recently helped me build a candidate persona that helps recruiters understand where to find candidates, understand their demographic breakdown, and find people candidates with the right skills for the roles. Customer service was also great in how they brokedown what each report showed and spoke to how we could use it specifically for the open roles and customers we have. We struggle to get some of the depth of data we need in some countries to grow our business and advise our customers. The product capabilities in North America are very strong and after leveraging them you want to see that type of depth everywhere. Data in some areas of the world is not reliable which makes it difficult to support. In addition, Lightcast is very responsible with their data quality standards...therefore we are sometimes left with a gap in coverage that is difficult to support.
