"PayPal Braintree delivers reliable payments, but admin tasks could be smoother"
What do you like best about PayPal BrainTree?

Braintree has been a solid choice for processing payments on our WordPress site, giving us reliable transactions and support for a wide range of payment methods. Integrating it with WooCommerce was straightforward, and I appreciate how secure and fast our checkouts run for customers. Having access to advanced fraud protection is a real plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayPal BrainTree?

The admin interface isn’t as intuitive as I’d like. When I need to search for past records or transaction history, it becomes complicated and slow. Helping customers gets tricky because PayPal gives them different reference numbers than the ones I see as a vendor, so finding and matching up transactions often takes much longer than it should. "Garbage and not to be trused."
What do you like best about PayPal BrainTree?

Multiple payment methods and the ease to receive payments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayPal BrainTree?

We use their security measures and have had 30 disputes which we are losing because "card not present". How is an online processor supposed to be trusted if the reason a company loses disputes is because the card wasn't present. There are addresses we sent the physical products to, so there is obviously someone that can be found to pay the credit card company. We stopped using them and went back to PayPal. Trust the reviews, Braintree is garbage. I will say, billing address matches, AVS matches, CVV matches, etc. and still we lose disputes because the customer had it shipped to a different address. I like the amount of information it provides. It literally has everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayPal BrainTree?

It takes a while to remember where each piece of information is. But that's cool. After a while you figure it out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A reliable, efficient, and easy to use software for billing needs"
What do you like best about PayPal BrainTree?

Braintree is incredibly easy to use with regards to seeing charges, making charges, refunding, voiding, and handling disputes. The way it is integrated within our existing systems makes it easy to use for pulling information for customers and their transactions. Additionally, the process for handling disputes is seamless and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayPal BrainTree?

The analytics and pulling multiple records for customers are not easy to use and clunky. It is overly complicated and difficult to search for customer transactions and pull charges on a mass scale. Additionally, the refund options are also limited in reason codes or customizable options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Beware - Braintree has no customer service support!"
What do you like best about PayPal BrainTree?

Nothing - terrible company with ZERO customer service. Simply put, if you have a problem, there is no one to talk to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayPal BrainTree?

Beware - the worst nonexistent customer service in the history of credit card processors. Just try getting a live customer service person on the phone. Every call goes to paypal and they have no Braintree merchant processing customer service reps. totally unacceptable and when you have fraud on your merchant account, you just want to speak to someone who can help you on the phone, you wont be able to do that with braintree so you should know this before signing them up for your credit card processing. "Run away from this company"
What do you like best about PayPal BrainTree?

The fact that it integrates directly into our checkout. This was unique when we first started using it. Now it is not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayPal BrainTree?

Complete lack of customer care. Our settlements from Braintree just stopped, without warning. No one in Braintree can resolve this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use payment processing platform!"
What do you like best about PayPal BrainTree?

I love the ability to easily refund/void transactions as well as search for specific details to locate a customer's transaction~ Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayPal BrainTree?

I wish you did not have to search by the date in order to find the transaction. I wish regardless it would show the transaction if you put in the transaction ID. It took a little while to figure out what the issue was and if the transaction ID was from October but you are in the month of November, you need to change the dates ahead of time. "Easy To Use At A Strange Cost"
What do you like best about PayPal BrainTree?

The payment terminal is pretty straightforward and the UI is not bad. We get a handful of disputes each year and unless it's fraud, we have a chance of winning the dispute which is important for a small company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PayPal BrainTree?

When a customer initially disputes a charge, the amount of the transaction is taken from the daily deposit amount, but it isn't notated anywhere within the daily deposit (so your amounts between braintree and your bank are different). I do not know why they don't just include the dispute with the settlement batch. When taking a payment, if you use a comma in the amount of the transaction, it will cause an error and take you to the same page without the credit card number which is infuriating. As financial software, this seems ridiculous, and I have had to ask customers for their card number more than once on many occasions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
