"Great Integrations and Support, But UI Customization and Custom Code Need Work"
What do you like best about Softr?

Handles users, auth, security, domains and routing. Fun integrations such as Airtable. Some good UI components. Custom code can be powerful but tedious. Great customer support Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Softr?

The UI options for most components are extremely rudimentary. For example there is no way modify horizontal padding. This results in having to use custom code more often that I would like. However:

1. The DOM is built in such a way that often makes it very difficult to modify UI with custom code. Very often, I find myself having to write an entire component in custom code instead of using a native component.

2. There is no way to store secrets for custom code, meaning you will need to hardcode your secrets in the client-side code (which you shouldnt). So you are stuck between using Softr's basic components and security malpractice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Feature-Rich with Helpful Templates, But Can Be Tricky to Navigate"
What do you like best about Softr?

I like there are so many options when it comes to features, especially the number of templates. The templates in particular are incredibly helpful, as someone who's not a coding expert. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Softr?

At times it can be hard to figure out how to do something, especially if having an issue. Customer support was amazing by the way, however, support was my only option as there was little to no troubleshooting documentation that I could find for a recent issue.

One other thing, I don't love that when I duplicate an app, that I must separately duplicate a database, as it takes an incredibly long time to reconnect a duplicated database to a newly duplicated app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Software easy to use even on the free version. With timely support"
What do you like best about Softr?

I like how it is easy to use, transfer data into it, and navigate the interface. The number of features it has is quite impressive. Also, the support database is reasonably practical, especially with options like live support, tutorials, help docs, and my favourite, AI, which helps me a lot with many issues. I also appreciate the price availability, and I hope they continue to offer a free version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Softr?

In my opinion, as a relatively new user, I haven't explored the software deeply enough or used it to its fullest to find anything I dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It's better than it seems"
What do you like best about Softr?

This platform is excellent for teams or individuals who lack a dedicated "tech person." Its intuitive design makes it easy to use, and the knowledge base provides helpful guidance for accomplishing any task. Honestly, I wish I had found it earlier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Softr?

I wish it were easier to find the knowledge base when I need assistance. The chat feature is very accessible, and the team responds quickly, but there are times when I would prefer to read about a topic on my own instead of having to speak with someone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless building with advanced features"
What do you like best about Softr?

I love how every little piece of the software is able to be customized, especially when you import data from sources. Additionally, the ability to have features available to logged in users is incredibly powerful, and is what I am currently building my app on. I will be using this as often as I can to build applications, especially for clients. The customer support in fixing my data integration issue was seamless, and helped me easily implement my data within a day of having the issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Softr?

I think only that it doesn't support more data sources. I'm using Asana as my source, and I had to go through the REST Api to get data in (all things considered, was fairly easy to use). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easily Build Directory Websites with Airtable"
What do you like best about Softr?

Relatively easy to use, well-designed interface options, fast loading, designed with SEO in mind for dynamic pages. A few clicks integrates it with Airtable. Responsive customer support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Softr?

There's a bit of a learning curve to understanding how blocks work and figuring out all the settings. Sometimes you're limited to certain customizations, like fonts in small, medium, or large vs. by pixel size. Also, it's relatively expensive after the first free site you can build. On the other hand, and in particular, the dynamic pages feature seems to make it worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Low / No-Code Simplicity Appp"
What do you like best about Softr?

You don't gotta know how to code to build cool stuff. It's all drag-and-drop, like, super easy. You can get a new app or tool working super fast. They have templates and stuff, so you just gotta plug things in.It connects with all the other apps and databases you already use, like Google Sheets. It's not a loner. It has all this built-in security and permissions, so you can control who sees what. No one's gonna be seeing your DMs without permission. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Softr?

You can't put your app on the Apple App Store or Google Play. It just works in a web browser, like a website that acts like an app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use, looks great, but can be tricky when things break"
What do you like best about Softr?

Softr is incredibly easy to use. The learning curve is gentle, and connecting it to databases like Airtable or Supabase feels intuitive. You can build functional, good-looking dashboards without spending hours tweaking the interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Softr?

The customization options can sometimes feel somewhat restricted. When things don't function as intended, it can be challenging to figure out the cause of the issue, particularly when it comes to integrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Setup and Seamless User Experience"
What do you like best about Softr?

I find Softr incredibly easy to use, which is invaluable for setting up our company’s intranet. The simplicity of its user experience is particularly appealing, making it straightforward for anyone to navigate and manage tasks efficiently. Setting up was an effortless process, thanks to the detailed instructions provided and the availability of chat support for assistance, ensuring any issues could be quickly resolved. Softr centralizes all of our company forms, providing a single location for these crucial documents, and eliminates the need to search through emails. This has substantially improved our efficiency, making it easy to access forms immediately when needed. The availability of easy-to-use templates contributes to a smooth and seamless experience, streamlining the process of building our intranet. The overall simplicity and user-friendly design make Softr an optimal choice for our needs, warranting a high recommendation score from me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Platform, Great for Nonprofits"
What do you like best about Softr?

I really appreciate Softr's intuitive and modern-looking platform, which allows us to present our archival records in a way that best suits each particular record set, including mapping and straightforward databases. The platform enables us to display these records beautifully and educationally, enhancing our users' experience. I find the ability to connect different databases, especially their native databases to the platform, extremely useful, as it provides flexibility that was previously lacking with platforms like Caspio, where we were restricted to using their tables only. Moreover, Softr's offering of a non-profit subscription, which affords us a discounted rate, is something I am very thankful for as it supports us economically. The system itself is easy to manage and intuitive, which further strengthens its value for us. Additionally, the customer service is outstanding, as demonstrated during an AWS outage when the support team was incredibly helpful, addressing issues swiftly and with great care. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Softr?

It could be easier to understand what the available features are depending on which subscription level—speaking in particular about the blocks options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
