What do you like best about Tableau?

i am using Tableau from my Internship, its been more than 2 years now, and currently i am using it as Data engineer, i like its ability to transform complex datasets into easy to understand visual dashboards. its very easy to use and does not required deep coding to create visualization.my most fav feature is drag and drop interface makes it simple to explore trends and patterns, and also it connects with different data sources from CSV files to cloud databases like BigQuery and Snowflake. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

well most of the part is very easy to use.. but some of the more advance calculations and customizations require practice to master. its dashboards can also become slow when handling very large datasets. it would be great . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Tableau : Turn Complex Data into Easy Visuals"
What do you like best about Tableau?

What I like most about Tableau is how effortlessly it transforms complex datasets into visuals that are easy to interpret and act on. The drag-and-drop interface feels natural — you can explore data without writing a single line of code, yet still build highly customized dashboards when needed. I really appreciate how seamlessly it connects with different data sources like SQL, Excel, and cloud platforms, and allows you to blend them together in real time.

The interactivity in Tableau dashboards is a huge plus — you can filter, drill down, and visualize relationships instantly. It’s especially helpful for explaining insights to non-technical stakeholders since the visuals do most of the talking. Overall, it bridges the gap between technical data analysis and clear business communication beautifully. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Tableau is an incredibly powerful platform, but it does take some time and patience to master all of its features. The basics are straightforward, but once you start getting into calculated fields, data blending, or parameter actions, the learning curve becomes noticeable. I’ve also found that when working with very large datasets or multiple live data connections, performance can dip a bit — dashboards might take longer to load or refresh.

That said, these issues are minor compared to what Tableau offers overall. Once you understand how everything fits together, the flexibility, control, and visual quality of the dashboards easily outweigh the initial complexity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful and comprehensive data visualisation"
What do you like best about Tableau?

See we work with Enterrpise customer across the globe. Tableau has been a helping tool in these ways

1. We are able to easily understand the customer API consumption and services, via graph and simple bar charts.

2. It is helpful for both pre sales and post sales team to understand the current oppertunity status and contract utilization

3. It also helps us to create dahsboard, without much of coding, which is cool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Has a Tableau user from almost a year now.

1. The rendering of page takes time, UI response is really slow.

2. Performance slows down, understanding it has to work with lots of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Visual Analytics for Cost and Vulnerability Insights"
What do you like best about Tableau?

I really like Tableau’s powerful and intuitive filtering capabilities.

With multiple orgs, teams, and roles, it’s incredibly easy to drill down and view data that’s most relevant to your scope.

For example,

1. we can quickly identify AMIs older than lets say three months,

2. services performing below four 9s availability,

3. cloud components with high spend, or

4. containers running vulnerable Docker images, all with just a few filters.

And since these are something that you do quarter on quarter or year on year. These dashboards usage are very frequent and eliminate the cross team dependency . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Overall, Tableau works great, but when handling very large datasets, the visualizations can become slow to load.

The user interface also has room for improvement in terms of responsiveness and modern design Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good tool for visualizing data but can be slow at times"
What do you like best about Tableau?

I like how easy it is to turn data into visuals. You don’t need to be super technical to make dashboards or find insights. The drag and drop part makes it quick to build things, and it helps explain numbers in a way everyone can understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

Sometimes it feels a bit heavy, especially when working with large datasets. It can slow down or take time to load dashboards. Also, a few settings or formatting options are not very straightforward, so you need to dig around to fix small things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

3. Multiple views and interactive charts present

4. High adaptivity (frequency of usage) among various stakeholders from developers to analysts to CXO

5. Dashboarding process is simple and enhances ease of implementation Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Tableau?

1. Under dropdown, while selecting multiple items, tableau buffers and applies each and every category and the user has to wait between every new category selection which is pretty irritating

2. Alerts can be useful. Spikes in data and its timely communication will be very much useful

3. Login flow of tableau desktop is pretty poor. Immediately it throws up purchase the license option.

4. An AI bot can be added, that provide tableau workflows to improve quick shipping Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
