What do you like best about The.com?

As an SEO, The.com has been a game changer for my clients. An evolved CMS over WordPress that will allow you to scale up your web operations through a variety of means.

- Publishing: Publish a multitude of pages at scale with a single push (I would recommend you spread this out a bit from an SEO perspective). This is the perfect tool for programmatic SEO.

- Content: Easily refine and edit a cluster of your content on the same spreadsheet. Our authors and admins love it!

- Efficiency for web ops: With a speedier way to set up and publish content, The.com drives down costs for my clients and increase our publishing rate (Google Discover, anyone?). The ROI for using such a tool is huge net positive for us.

- Page Performance: Outstanding load times! Google cares, you should too.

- Customer support: The.com is relatively new but have focused on shoring up their support team. They go above and beyond and are my #1 choice when recommending an automated website platform to other potential clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about The.com?

I spoke to The.com’s developers and while they’re still working on this, they’re currently not available. A way to highlight and implement internal linking opportunities (ala Link Whisper for Wordpress) and 301 redirects. the.com blends traditional HTML and CSS elements into an easy to access and understand interface, with immediate feedback. Building a page, and even more so revising a page, become much quicker but I still have direct access to all the code for customization. The system generates very clean HTML and the serverless platform delivers lightning fast sites. Building and sharing blocks allows users to create and share reusable parts of a site easy. You'll need a solid understanding of HTML and CSS, or someone who does, in order to take full advantage of the.com, but with that base the.com is the perfect platform to expand and put your knowledge to work making easily maintainable and fast websites.
