What do you like best about Userlytics?

I appreciate Userlytics for its intuitive setup, allowing me to easily navigate and create explorations. The user-friendly design made it easy for me to collect qualitative feedback with minimal effort. The unmoderated video feature is particularly valuable, enabling me to observe user interactions while creating highlight reels to present key moments to executives. Moreover, the flexibility of the pricing model, including transferable credits and the ability to start small, makes it an attractive and convenient option. What do you dislike about Userlytics?

{"I don't like that I can't conduct a short test, like a ten-second test, on a live site because it's currently required that I use a prototype instead. This limitation affects the usefulness of these tests.","The quality of video and audio of the participants during explorations has sometimes been poor, making it hard to understand. What do you like best about Userlytics?

Easy to setup and integrate into our process. Customer support/account rep has been great! We have used this for many different types of research (surveys, prototype testing, card sorting, tree testing, etc). Big selling point for me and my team is the ability to invite your own research participants. This is big because we often test member-only type stuff that is difficult for non-members to comprehend. What do you dislike about Userlytics?

A recent change requires participants to download something before being able to participate. THis is not ideal. We have had difficulty conducting research in China. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Exceptional Participants, Seamless Platform — Userlytics Delivers Meaningful Insights"
What do you like best about Userlytics?

I inherited our user research program midstream after a contracted employee’s term ended — and with it, responsibility for managing our ongoing studies through Userlytics. At the time, I had no prior experience with the platform and honestly felt a bit daunted by the handoff.

That worry disappeared almost immediately.

Userlytics turned out to be incredibly intuitive. The platform guides you through setup with clear, simple steps that make even first-time users feel confident and in control. But what has truly amazed me — and what sets Userlytics apart — is the caliber of participants.

Every single tester has been a standout: articulate, engaged, thoughtful, and deeply responsive to the tasks provided. Their feedback has been genuinely valuable, offering clear insights we’ve been able to act on quickly. What’s more, many of them went above and beyond — thanking me for the opportunity to participate, expressing hope that their input was useful, and even saying they were disappointed when the session ended because they were enjoying it so much. That kind of authentic engagement is rare — and invaluable.

When I first stepped into this role, our company gave me the option to explore alternative platforms. After my experience, I made it clear: we’re staying with Userlytics. Between the ease of use, the remarkable participant pool, and a responsive, helpful support team, I truly can't recommend them highly enough.

What do you dislike about Userlytics?

The only improvement I'd like to see is to make the integration of my Google Calendar automatically adjust time availability as I add other events to my calendar. I have struggled with a few overlaps and had to cancel some sessions as a result. What do you like best about Userlytics?

Userlytics has been an amazing tool for our UX research. It’s easy to use, helps me set up tests quickly, and provides valuable feedback. The video recordings are a great way to see how users interact with our websites, and the insights have been eye-opening.

I love the feature that lets the team join as observers without disrupting sessions—it keeps everyone aligned. As the only UX researcher in a Fortune 500 company, speed is critical for me. Userlytics’ AI summaries for unmoderated sessions save me so much time and make creating topline reports effortless.

What do you like best about Userlytics?

Simple and easy to use

Good breakdown into three types of tests

Availability of users from all over the world

Quick response from users even in exotic corners of the globe

What do you dislike about Userlytics?

1. It is not possible to mark several tests (no checbox). This would make it easier to delete or move tests to another project.

2. No possibility to open tests in a new tab from the project level. Having a list of tests you have to open each one manually, then return to the main directory. Being able to open them in tabs would make it quicker to analyse multiple tests.

3. The colours in the multiple choice questions are very similar. When I have two questions ‘Passed’ from ‘Failed’ the colour is very similar for both answers which makes analysis difficult.

Ideally, the colour should be set for specific answers. E.g. example: Passed - green, Failed - red.

4. A useful option would be to be able to sort by the last time the user performed a test

What do you like best about Userlytics?

We were easily able to find users in our demographic. Tests were completed within 1-2 days. If there were ever any issues, our account manager responded quickly. The platform was easy to implement and use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Userlytics?

There was no way way to recruit a group of users and then have them test our app and return feedback at a later date. All testing was within the session. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In terms of the feedback at a later day feature, we’re sorry if this was not clear during your experience with Userlytics. In fact, we do support studies where participants are recruited and asked to provide feedback at multiple points in time, such as in diary studies.

These types of longitudinal projects are available through our Project Management service, which allows us to work closely with you from day one to ensure the study is set up properly and delivers the insights you need.

What do you like best about Userlytics?

Userlytics allows us to receive user feedback on products instantly. A typical process would involve pitching multiple research agencies, reviewing their pitches, signing a contract, fielding participants, etc. At least a 2-month process.

My Customer Success Manager is brilliant. They have continually sought to implement feedback we've given and find ways to help us build upon any projects we've been doing, adding to their value.
