It doesn’t have many options for working together online work, like sharing or editing in real time. For example, if two people want to work on the same document at once, they can’t do it easily. WordPerfect is a long-running, best-in-class word processor that is far more user-friendly and intuitive than competitors like Microsoft Word. The two best things about it are the "Reveal Codes" feature which allows you to see and edit the actual formatting codes embedded in your document (XML-based since long before most of us knew what XML was!), and the easy ability to use pre-built or custom keyboard shortcuts. One big downside to WordPerfect is the relative lack of wide adoption. In a perfect world, .WPD format would be more ubiquitous than .DOC(X) format, but unfortunately we don't live in that world. If you want to share your WordPerfect documents outside the community of users, you'll need to convert to .DOC format, and the converter leaves a bit to be desired. The legal functions of WordPerfect are very helpful when it comes to legal briefing or technical writing. The tables of authorities and tables of contents are more user friendly and I feel like the ability to add things to your document - such as page numbers, etc. - without having to use page or line breaks, is much more efficient. The issue with hidden codes can be tricky because it can affect your entire document when it comes to copying and pasting until you learn how to get rid of them.
