Alternative Versionen
This game exists in two-player and three-player versions. In the two-player version, the left and right players can choose from among the three available Battletoads (though the players cannot choose the same character). In the three-player version, the 'Toads are assigned to a specific set of controls (left player controls Zitz, middle player controls Rash and right player controls Pimple).

Excellent Mechanics, Fun Scenes

Battletoads was never about re-invention, you'd have to have slept through the decade of similar games and TV shows to be completely surprised by this game, but this gets right is a few extras like quick response time, the ability to fighting enemies on both sides, useful special attacks, and multi-event boss battles. Classic party-game that is surely more fun with a friend or two playing co-operatively. There's a mix of play styles in stages to keep the action from getting too repetitive.

Praises aside, it doesn't bring much innovation, having that quarter-muncher style arcade feel, uninteresting music, and could've used a longer ending that was interesting. A few scenes seemed to just bomb the screens with enemies and near impossible survival scenarios.
