Jared Douglas is a director, producer, writer, and founder of JDG Entertainment. His work has been praised by critics and audiences for its powerful cinematic storytelling and strong performances.
In his youth, Jared found interest in sculpture and animation, winning regional awards for his work. At 16, Jared was invited to spend the summer taking graduate-level classes at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Following the experience, he would write, produce, and direct the short film, Forever Changed.
Jared proceeded to study at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Film & Television and a minor in The Business of Entertainment, Media and Technology. While at NYU, he assisted on award-winning films, such as 'Sicario' and 'Demolition', learning from masters Jean-Marc Vallee and Denis Villeneuve. During this time, Jared would hone the unique directing style that would become the hallmark of his work.
At 24, Jared completed his first feature film, The Sound of The Wind, receiving critical praise during the film's release in Virtual Cinemas. In 2019, he oversaw the successful expansion of JDG Entertainment's commercial division into Particle New York. He has since directed and produced Film For Her, a new media series adapted from the poetry of Orion Carloto, which was featured on V Magazine, and his commercial work includes content for Mattel, P&G, AdWeek, and Brooklinen.
