The Decks Ran Red

This is for me one of the best of Andrew Stone, where Broedrick Crawford and Stuart Whitman are terrific as the villains, in this story which grabs your attention, fulll of suspense and unpredictable situations. I guess there were more or less previous films like this one, most of them pirates or MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY like films. But here, I will say that's a MUTINY ON THE BOUNTY on reverse; the villain is not the captain but some of the crew members. Produced by MGM, it is a small budget film, as were most Andrrew Stone's movies, but very daring, inventive, definitely worth the watch. I highly recommend it.
