- CuriosidadesStuntwoman Olivia Jackson was involved in a motorcycle crash during filming. The dangerous stunt involved her driving a motorcycle towards a camera mounted on a crane, while she wore no helmet as the shot required her not to. The crane malfunctioned and didn't move out of the way in time. Noticing this, she tried (and failed) to block it with her arm. She received several serious life threatening injuries including a twisted spine, broken discs, brain bleeding, shattered scapula, nerves torn, leaking cerebral fluid, degloved face (which is when facial skin is ripped off to reveal muscle tissue and teeth), shattered eye socket which had to be put together with tweezers, cheekbone shard stabbing her ear drum, fingers torn from her hand, an entire bone ripped out of her arm. Her left arm, which suffered these injuries, was injured so badly it had to be amputated. She was put into a medically induced coma for 17 days to perform all of the surgeries. Paul W.S. Anderson was so devastated by the accident that he nearly quit the project, while Milla Jovovich visited Jackson in the hospital and brought her flowers. Jackson sued (and won) the production company for the workplace injuries, as she was initially only compensated $33,000 for the injuries.
- PifiasAt the beginning of the movie, Alice gives a history of the Umbrella Corporation. She says that the T-Virus was created by a Dr. Marcus for his daughter Alicia to prevent her rapid aging. This completely contradicts the story of Resident Evil: Apocalypse as this movie establishes the T-Virus as being created by Dr. Ashford for his daughter Angie. While the novelization explains that Dr. Ashford created the Virus at the behest of Dr. Marcus, this is never made clear in the film.
- Citas
Dr. Isaacs: Ah, how touching. The trinity of bitches, united in their hatred.
- Créditos adicionalesAfter the film credits finish rolling, there will be a black screen and the Red Queen's voice saying: "You're all going to die down here".
- Versiones alternativasThree versions are available, depending on your location, the main, worldwide theatrical release ("1h 47m (107 min)", an eight minute shorter version for Taiwan ("1h 39m (99 min) (China)") and another edited cut for the Peoples Republic of China ("1h 39m (99 min) (Mainland China Censored Version) (China)"). The main cuts are shots of the zombies, especially close-ups.

Reseña destacada
I had quite high hopes for this film after the tantalising cliff hanger of the last instalment, but this just didn't pan out how I hoped.
The story wasn't awful. It had some good elements, but it was pretty lazy in parts, and kind of obvious what was going to happen. It felt like they were going through the motions, just trying to wrap things up and cash out with a decent box office.
I was also disappointed with the action. The franchise has always been pretty up and down with its action, flipping between some pretty slick stuff and horribly shot set pieces. Unfortunately this fell into the latter category. This is such a shame because the stunt work actually looked quite decent in places. This was ruined by the constant cuts and horrible camera work. There were a couple of scenes where I genuinely had no idea what I was watching.
The effects were decent in areas, and we were treated to a pretty cool zombie set piece around the midway mark, but other than that it was pretty bland.
Not a great end to the franchise but it still managed to entertain me, so there is that.
