Bobbie and Gabby - Reba McEntire is as spunky as ever, and Melissa Peterman is a gifted comedic actress with lovable, goofy charm. That said, these two characters are pale rehashes of their previous characters from Reba.
Isabella - While she is played with heart by Belissa Escobedo, the character ultimately serves as an audience surrogate for a situation that doesn't really require one. She is just kind of unceremoniously dropped into a friend group that frankly doesn't even have that much chemistry with each other. Plus, this character breaks the "show don't tell" rule nearly every episode. How about instead of exposition, show us her dynamic with her family and why she doesn't feel she belongs?
Emmett - a great character, and one that the show should be centering around. Rex Linn is excellent as the emotional rock of Happy's Place.
The rest - None of the remaining characters are really worth remembering. They seem to have been created to drop a one-liner and leave. There's one-dimensional, and then there's these guys. Now that I think about it - none of the characters on this show have last names, even the main cast!
The setting - Why have the show set in a bar if you're not going to highlight the colorful patrons? As it is, the show could be set anywhere. Why a bar? It adds nothing to the story.
There is a lot to work with here, and I would love to keep Reba on the air, but this show needs a massive retooling if it's going to survive.
