- CitasI have Ukrainian roots. I was born in Dniprodzerzhynsk (formerly Kamensky). My father attracted me to the theater. Although he was a simple electrician, he was fanatically fond of Ukrainian drama. In general, theater was the main goal of his life, he reworked famous classical plays, staged plays on a small stage of a country club, painted the scenery himself, and my mother and friends of my parents played in these performances. And I prompted all their performances. I was put on a small booth on stage, and I, full of a sense of self-importance, selflessly helped amateur artists. After a few performances, I submitted lines with certain intonations and co-played everything with them inside of me. That's how I got used to the stage and felt in love with the theater. On the final year at school, I decided to become an artist, because the dream to become a pilot had to give up (I did not pass the medical commission at the military enlistment). By the way, my mother was strictly against my passion for theater, and my father - on the contrary - was glad that I would realize his cherished dream. And I went to Kyiv to enter the Theater Institute of Karpenko-Kary.
