Rangita Pritish Nandy started her career as an advertising and marketing trainee for Ogilvy & Mather, India. She went on to working at Percept Integrated Marketing Communications before joining Pritish Nandy Communications Ltd in August 1999 as a production trainee on it's weekly serials Raaj Kahani for Doordarshan and Mr Gayab for Zee TV. She went on to designing and producing the industry's first weekly show based on the fashion world, Khwahish, for Sony TV. She was also part of the production team for Chup Bas Lakshya, PNC's first Marathi show, Koshish, a show for Doordarshan on NGOs working in critical areas, Hungama Unlimited the number one countdown show on Doordarshan Metro and Sanjog, a daily drama for Doodarshan.
In 2002, Rangita was part of PNC's first endeavor to move into cinematic content with the production of Jhankaar Beats starring Juhi Chawla, Sanjay Suri, Rahul Bose, Rinke Khanna, Riya Sen and Shayan Munshi. The film was picked up for distribution by Twentieth Century Fox, in it's first ever association with a Hindi language film. She has thereafter served on all of PNC's films in the last 26 years including Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi directed by Sudhir Mishra, Kaante starring Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Suneil Shetty and Mahesh Manjrekar, Ek Khiladi EK Haseena starring Fardeen Khan, Kaykay Menon, Koena Mitra and Feroz Khan, Pyaar Ke Side-Effects starring Rahul Bose and Mallika Sherawat, Sur starring Lucky Ali and Gauri Karnik, Mumbai Matinee starring Rahul Bose, Perizaad Zorabian and Vijay Raaz, Chameli starring Kareena Kapoor and Rahul Bose, Popcorn Khao! Mast Ho Jao! starring Akshay Kapoor, Tanishaa and Rashmi Nigam, Shabd starring Sanjay Dutt, Aishwarya Rai and Zayed Khan, The Mystic Masseur a co-production with Merchant Ivory Films directed by Ismail Merchant, Kuch Khatti Kuch Meethi starring Kajol, Suneil Shetty and Rishi Kapoor, Bollywood Calling, India's first successful crossover film directed by Nagesh Kukunoor, Ankahee starring Aftab Shivdasani, Amisha Patel and Esha Deol, Just Married starring Fardeen Khan and Esha Deol, Bow Barracks Forever starring Victor Banerjee, Lillette Dubey, Rupa Ganguly and Moonmoon Sen, Meerabai Not Out starring Mandira Bedi, Mahesh Manjrekar, Eijaz Khan, Anupam Kher and Anil Kumble, Ugly Aur Pagli starring Mallika Sherawat, Ranvir Sheorey and Zeenat Aman and Raat Gayi Baat Gayi starring Rajat Kapoor, Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shorey and Neha Dhupia amongst others. She is also the creator of PNC's first series for Amazon Prime, Four More Shots Please.
These films have been shown at 80 major international film festivals--Berlin, Palm Springs, Washington, Telluride, Bangkok, Florence and Prague to name a few--and have received over 350 award nominations and won several of these awards as well.
